Barista is responsible for educating customers about our premium organic coffees and teas. A true professional that fulfills any additional duties needed. Displays a positive attitude at all times to ensure return of our customers who are the reason for our business.\nEssential Functions\nGreets all customers with a friendly smile.\nInitiates dialogue and develops rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.\nGenerates customer satisfaction; responds appropriately to customer concerns.\nAccurately processes transactions through the POS and counts back change to customers.\nAnswers the café’s telephone in a friendly manner using a professional greeting.\nSells and services baked goods and miscellaneous food items to customers.\nAssists in the opening and/or closing of the café.\nAssist with the baking, Food Prep and Catering \nProvides top quality espresso shots for hot and cold beverages.\nCommunicates with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service\nWorks with coworkers and management to effectively implement change.\nContributes to a positive work environment. \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nCompetencies\nCollaboration Skills.\nCustomer/Client Focus.\nFlexability\nStress Management/Composure.\nSupervisory Responsibility\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nWork Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
