This is an immediate opening.\nEssential Functions\nInstall and commission sensors (water, temperature and humidity, current and vibration), gateways and network hardware.\nTerminate and label low-voltage cabling; document as-built drawings and device inventories.\nSupport building automation system (BAS/JACE) integration points with the System Engineer, following network segmentation rules set by the Cybersecurity / RMF Lead.\nTroubleshoot sensor dropouts and gateway connectivity and manage spare equipment.\nTest and certify cabling and verify device connectivity before closeout.\nFollow the NEC (including low-voltage and communications articles) and TIA cabling standards.\nFollow safe work practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE and ladder safety.\nCompetencies\nLow-voltage and structured cabling installation\nSensor and controls commissioning\nNetwork troubleshooting\nAs-built documentation\nCable testing and certification\nSupervisory Responsibility\nNone required for this position\nWork Environment\nField-based work in barracks and housing facilities on the installation, including mechanical rooms and occupied buildings.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nLifting up to 50 lb.\nClimbing ladders.\nBending, kneeling and standing for extended periods.\nDriving a service vehicle between buildings.\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work\nFull-time and part-time positions available. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, daytime. Shifts may require some evening or weekend work, and this position participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency escalations as duty lead.\nTravel\nDaily local travel between buildings on the installation.\nExperience\n4+ years of low-voltage or structured cabling and sensor or controls installation experience.\nFamiliarity with building automation systems (BAS).\nClean, code-compliant low-voltage work.\nPreferred:\nTridium Niagara/JACE.\nMonnit or similar wireless sensors.\nIndustrial network switches.\nNetwork segmentation basics.\nExperience with cable certification testers (e.g., Fluke).\nFamiliarity with TIA-568 cabling standards.\nExperience working on Department of Defense (DoD) installations, contracts or programs is a plus.\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or GED plus completion of a technical program.\nAdditional Eligibility Qualifications\nOSHA 10 certification required.\nBICSI Installer certification or equivalent preferred.\nState low-voltage license where required.\nValid driver's license and acceptable driving record.\nMust be able to pass a background check and obtain installation access.\nDrug Free Workplace\nAll Native Group is a Drug Free Workplace.
