Provide clear goals, regular feedback, and career development for engineers, and testers \nBuild a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning\nDeliver high quality eCommerce features and services. Partner with business stakeholders to plan and deliver capabilities\nDefine and track KPIs (availability, performance, error rates, customer conversion and checkout success) \nBalance short term delivery needs with long term platform and architecture improvements\nEnsure continuous development, training, and coaching for team members (technical skills, agile practices, leadership) \nConduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and support growth paths for senior ICs and future leaders\nParticipate in hiring: role definition, interviews, and selection of new engineering talent \nEnsure effective onboarding so new team members become productive quickly and feel part of the team\nMonitor performance and productivity; address issues early, constructively, and fairly \nUse metrics and feedback to identify improvement areas in both people and processes\nInitiate and evolve SCRUM / Kanban based processes tailored to ecommerce delivery (short iterations, clear priorities, predictable delivery) \nDrive continuous improvement in Operations to meet annual KPI and SLA targets (e.g., uptime, incident resolution time, defect rates)\nCollaborate closely with SRE/operations teams where relevant. Take ownership in high impact incidents affecting ecommerce services (e.g., checkout issues, performance degradations)\nCoordinate cross team communication, stakeholder updates, and clear post incident follow up\nThe knowledge I own:\nAt least 4 years of experience in software development projects, application management, or in agile product development\nExperience in eCommerce, retail, or other consumer facing digital products (e.g., checkout, payments, catalog, pricing, or similar transactional systems) is a strong advantage\nAt least 2 years of experience in people management (Team Lead, Engineering Manager or similar) with responsibility for hiring, performance, and development \nTrack record of building, guiding, and motivating engineering teams in a fast paced environment\nDeep understanding of Agile, SCRUM, and Kanban; hands on experience applying these methods with software teams \nStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and deliver iteratively while handling changing requirements\nExcellent English skills (written and spoken); German is an advantage\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders across countries\nSelf starter with a proactive, analytical, and data driven mindset \nComfortable with change and ambiguity; able to drive change management and process improvements \nLead by example, foster transparency and psychological safety, and hold a high bar for quality and ownership\nOpen minded with a good understanding of modern IT and cloud based solutions;
