Always following best practices.\nThe role\nAs a Back-end Engineer, you will be the technical engine behind our global connectivity platform, ensuring our services are scalable and resilient. You will own the development of high-performance APIs, directly enabling millions of users to stay connected anywhere in the world.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild and optimise mission-critical microservices using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).\n\nEngineer Quality Frameworks by implementing robust unit testing (Pytest) and automated quality checks to ensure elite code standards.\n\nArchitect scalable APIs from scratch, ensuring they can handle high-concurrency traffic during peak travel seasons.\n\nEliminate technical debt by identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, including N+1 query issues and asynchronous task optimisation.\n\nCollaborate across borders with Product and QA teams to translate complex business logic into maintainable technical solutions.\n\nChampion best practices in the software life-cycle, from design patterns and documentation to comprehensive code reviews.\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience in backend development with a mastery of Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).\n\nStrong expertise in Unit Testing and establishing quality-first development frameworks.\n\nProven experience designing microservices architectures and integrating complex third-party ecosystem applications.\n\nProficiency in asynchronous programming and managing high-load database queries.\n\nBased in Ireland or willing to relocate, with a valid work visa already in place (Holafly does not provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance).\n\nGood to have\nFluency or professional working proficiency in
