This is a broad generalist role, combining day-to-day HR delivery with the opportunity to build and improve the people practices needed as the business scales. You will partner with the co-founders and managers, provide practical HR advice and ensure our people processes are consistent, effective and appropriate. This role will suit a self-starter and someone who is comfortable operating with autonomy. We want someone who can deliver what the business needs today while building the foundations it will need tomorrow.\nAs the role is offered on a part-time basis, there is flexibility to agree a working pattern that works for both you and the business. Regular office presence will be required and is an important part of the role.\nN.B. Only applicants that area fully eligible to work in the UK without restriction or need for sponsorship will be considered.\nWhat you'll do\nHR Advice & Employee Relations\nAct as the primary point of contact for employees and managers on all HR matters\nCoach and advise managers on performance, probation, absence, conduct and employee relations\nManage sensitive employee matters with sound judgement, confidentiality and appropriate escalation\nPeople Operations\nOwn the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding\nMaintain contracts, employee records, policies and all HR documentation (we use BambooHR)\nEnsure HR data integrity and maintain effective, consistent onboarding and offboarding workflows\nSupport on payroll, visa sponsorship and benefits administration \nCoordinate with IT on employee equipment and asset management\nInternational HR & Compliance\nSupport employees and contractors across multiple countries\nIdentify any employment, compliance and people risks early\nMaintain practical, fit for purpose policies and processes as we grow\nTalent & Organisation\nSupport recruitment and hiring where required, working with hiring managers and sourcing support\nSupport managers with onboarding, probation and ongoing development\nBuild and maintain university partnerships and support the delivery of internship programmes\nwhat you'll bring\nBachelor’s Degree\n6+ years broad HR generalist experience, ideally within a start-up, scale-up\nConfidence to operate autonomously\nStrong working knowledge of the employee lifecycle and employee relations\nCompetent understanding of UK Employment Law\nExperience maintaining an HRIS and ensuring accurate people data (BambooHR/HiBob)\nStrong judgement and confidence in advising managers\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nPrior experience as a Level 1 user for the UK Visas & Immigration SMS\nHighly organised with strong attention to detail \nAble to handle confidential matters appropriately\nNice to have\nCIPD qualification and/or membership\nLocation and working model\nCentral London location - Bedford Square, nearest tube is Tottenham Court Road\nRegular presence expected on-site (3 days in the office)\nCompensation\nWe offer competitive salary and benefits;
