FL or Dallas, TX.\nGeneral Description:\nThe IT Security Analyst will assist in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cyber security threats against Holland & Knight.\nKey Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:\nAssists with monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events from a wide range of devices within the environment.\nAbility to understand, prioritize and complete tasks by working independently or with a team.\nPerforms general operations maintenance support on security tools and agents.\nAbility to process and correlate highly technical information from multiple sources in support of investigations.\nStays up to date with trends and current countermeasures for cyber security vulnerabilities, exploits, and other malicious activities.\nProvides periodic “on-call” support of security operations during non-business hours.\nAssists with the scanning of systems for known vulnerabilities and provide support in the remediation of any vulnerabilities found.\nAnalyzes and responds to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities.\nIdentifies areas of risk to the Firm and assists with efforts to mitigate those risks to an acceptable level.\nMaintains knowledge of vendor products, services and security technologies and recommends/implements their use.\nApproaches all problems, projects, and incidents with a high level of professionalism, objectivity and an open mind to new ideas and solutions.\nExpected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law. \nSpecial projects and additional duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills:\nKnowledge or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite, or Microsoft 365.\nOperating Systems: Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, Windows 10/11\nNetwork Technologies: Cisco LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP\nSecurity Infrastructure Applications: Endpoint Detection and Response tools, automated systems management, vulnerability management tools, password management tools, email server security.\nSoftware: office productivity software, popular browsers, security related software analysis and protection, other business applications (accounting, practice management, CRM, etc.)\nRequired Qualifications & Education:\nBachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.\nPreferred Qualifications & Education:\n4+ years of experience in a technical support role or job-related experience, supporting security related technology in a diverse technology environment.\nExperience with System Information and Event Management (SIEM) or other scalable log management solution, including the configuration and tuning of the system.\nExperience with vulnerability scanning and reporting (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid 7, etc.)\nExperience in monitoring and administrating various technical security controls such as firewalls, web filters and anti-virus solutions.\nCurrent SANS and/or other security certifications preferred.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods of
