We are deeply vested in creating lasting relationships and aim to deliver the highest level of trust, personalized service and client satisfaction.\nWe are a relationship-driven company searching for a dedicated team member to join our team as an Closing Paralegal.\nJob Summary:\nPrepares all documents for real estate closing in accordance with South Carolina law and government regulations under direct supervision of the Closing Attorney (CA). Responsible for ensuring that all information needed to prepare closing documents is requested and received in a timely manner as well as the funding and disbursement in accordance with lender and/or CA instructions.\nSpecific Responsibilities:\nReview and manage open files in database to ensure timely closings.\nReview all work and documents collected by the Assistant Closing Paralegal (ACP) to ensure completion and accuracy.\nReceive and follow closing instructions from lender.\nCollaborate with lender to balance the closing disclosure (\"CD\") statement.\nPrepare ALTA settlement statement pursuant to Lender's closing instructions and approved CD.\nAdequately communicate with all parties connected to the transaction using Qualia Connect, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.\nEnsure all outstanding invoices are entered onto the ALTA settlement statement and disbursed at closing.\nPrepare all HI closing documents including but not limited to the Deed, Seller's affidavits, Buyer affidavits. etc.\nAcquire funding authorization from Lender in order to fully fund and disburse the Closing.\nCommunicate directly with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders and other parties associated with the real estate closing transaction.\nConfirm balancing and disbursement of all payments in the order; follow-up on clearing of disbursements via check or wire as appropriate.\nSubmit and confirm recording of all documents where recording is required to adequately effectuate the transfer of real estate or lien position of the lender.\nRequirements\nExcellent and effective written communication skills.\nVerbal communication style that is effective and conveys accuracy.\nAbility to use logic and reasoning among alternate solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.\nMaintaining calm and respective demeanor in communication, including being flexible and adjusting actions in relation to circumstances and others.\nActively seek ways to help others.\nAbility to use a shared computer application for internal communications, shared files and training materials.\nAbility to manage a large number of orders including inputting data, retrieving records and managing tasks as related to the files.\nStrong time management skills.\nQualifications\nOne (1) year of relevant experience as a Real Estate Paralegal/Closer or in a related role is required.\nA high school diploma or equivalent is required;
