This role can be based in our Manchester or Liverpool office, supporting a variety of exciting cost management instructions across a variety of building sectors, you will also closely collaborate with our offices in Liverpool, Leeds, and Newcastle, as well as the wider cost management team.\nAs the Associate Cost Management Lead, you will play a key role in leading and promoting our cost management services in the region. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including business development activities, building relationships with new and existing clients, and contributing to securing new work. Additionally, you will work closely with the regional PM team to ensure the successful delivery of projects and provide cost management support.\nYour responsibilities will cover all aspects of pre and post-contract cost management, including preparing feasibility cost plans, pricing exercises, and cost reports. You will also support the tender process, attend site meetings, and assist in preparing cost appraisals and benchmarking studies. Managing monthly project billing and WIP will be crucial to ensure our projects stay on track.\nTo be successful in this role, you should have a degree or MSc in Quantity Surveying, ideally with some work experience in a commercial property environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, and experience with AutoCAD would be advantageous.\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team and make a real impact on our cost management services.\nResponsibilities include\nResponsible for project performance for cost management projects in the region.\nWith the service head, develop a business plan for the growth of cost management in the region.\nResponsible for managing a team of cost managers and developing a recruitment plan with the service head.\nWork closely with the regional PM team on project delivery and providing cost management support\nActively promote the cost management service in the region for the purposes of business development.\nUndertake BD activities, build relationships with new and existing clients and contribute to securing new work.\nAttending site to view project progress and assist in preparation of cost reports and valuations.\nLead in the preparation of pricing documents for tender purposes and support on administering the tender process.\nAttend proposed sites to assess abnormal cost impacts and restrictions and support on preparation of cost plans.\nMeet target KPIs on work in progress (WIP) management including hours into work in progress (HIW).\nDrive Adherence to Health & Safety procedures.\nResponsibility for the teams continuous professional learning.\nDrive and integrate the Hollis Company Values.\nSkills and Experience\nDegree or MSc in Quantity Surveying with ideally some work experience in a Real Estate and commercial property environment\nExperience of working at Associate/ Lead level\nProven experience of managing a team\nExperience of delivering real estate projects (not infrastructure) from feasibility through to completion\nSector experience - logistics & industrial, residential, office useful but not essential\nExperience of preparing accurate cost plans, tendering procedures and post contract valuations and cost reporting\nAble to demonstrate a knowledge of the regional market and be established in the North construction market\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel\nExperience of AutoCAD an advantage, though not essential\nRequires excellent time management and general organisation skills\nIs required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure\nWhy join us?\nWe are hardworking, progressive, successful and fun.
