Apply now to join our collaborative and creative team and contribute to the support for San Diego manufacturing operations equipment.\nHologic is seeking an Equipment Mechanic 3 responsible for implementing and maintaining an engineering change order system including product improvements, repairs, and new product release.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nPerforms scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance on lyophilizers, liquid fillers, labeling machines, packaging machines, water system equipment and filtration.\nPerforms advanced troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems on manufacturing equipment.\nPerforms installation of electrical power and pneumatic distribution hardware.\nInteracts with vendors to solve problems, determine part costs and purchase parts.\nDiagnose and repair low voltage DC and AC electrical wiring/hardware\n Maintains equipment shop tools, equipment, and organization\nWrites procedures, documents and reports.\nTravel between various Hologic facilities for equipment maintenance\nMust be able to work weekends or other shifts on occasions.\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:\nSolid understanding in using various hand tools, multimeters, pneumatic, electrical power tools.\nSolid understanding of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics.\nAwareness of applicable mechanical, electrical and biological safety guidelines and standards.\nAbility to diagnose advanced mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment problems.\nAbility to solve advanced problems associated with programmable logic controllers.\nKnowledge of windows-based computer systems.\nAdvanced knowledge of microprocessor and automation controls.\nMust have reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license to support multiple facilities\nAbility to operate mills, lathes, drill press, and power saws for fabrication of machine parts \nDetailed oriented with strong verbal and written communication \nAbility to articulate information to coworkers and supplier\nAbility to lift 50 lbs.\nExperience in a GMP environment preferred\nEducation and Experience:\nTypically requires High school, Trade school, or Military and 8-10 years related experience or AA and 5-year related experience or BS and 5 years related experience\nThe annualized base salary range for this role is $59,200 to $88,900 and is bonus eligible.
