From financial reporting and analysis to internal controls, audit support, and process improvement, our teams help enable informed decision making across the organization.\nWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Management Accountant to join our EMEA Finance team in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for the financial management and reporting of two Hologic entities, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of financial data for these key markets.\nWhat To Expect:\nPrepare monthly management accounts, including P&L analysis, variance review, and commentary.\nPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for assigned entities, ensuring compliance with Hologic accounting policies and relevant standards, including US GAAP.\nComplete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, continually improving quality, accuracy, and supporting documentation.\nIdentify and post accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, and other month-end entries\nPrepare monthly commentary files and quarterly reporting packs.\nConduct financial analysis to identify key trends, variances, risks, and areas for improvement.\nSupport VAT submission processes, working with in-house VAT specialists where required.\nPerform bank reconciliations and support cash-related reporting activities.\nMaintain and enhance robust financial controls and processes for assigned entities.\nSupport SOX compliance activities, including performing control activities, documenting processes, and supporting internal and external SOX audits. \nWork closely with local finance and operational teams to gather financial data, understand business drivers, and provide financial insight.\nPartner with Financial Accountants and external auditors in the preparation of statutory accounts and audit deliverables.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes, reporting, and controls.\nAssist with implementing new processes, procedures, and reporting improvements.\nWhat We Expect:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nPart-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly desirable.\n2-5 years’ experience in management accounting, financial reporting, or a related finance role.\nStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.\nHigh attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.\nAdvanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and the ability to analyze and present large datasets.\nExperience with financial reporting systems; Oracle experience would be an advantage.\nExperience with banking platforms would be beneficial.\nKnowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls is desirable.\nVAT submission experience is desirable, with training support available from in-house VAT specialists.\nHighly organised, diligent, and structured, with the ability to meet internal and external reporting deadlines.\nProactive and results orientated, with the confidence to investigate discrepancies, propose solutions, and drive resolution.\nStrong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with local teams, finance colleagues, auditors, and business stakeholders.\nFluency in English is essential\nWhy Hologic?\nAt Hologic, our mission is simple: to enable healthier lives everywhere, every day.
