Works with R&D, Mfg. Eng., and other disciplines in detailed discussions of NPD, process improvement, and problem solving.\n Understand the relationship between inventory velocity, inventory quality and cash. Gained a fundamental knowledge of Lean Supply Chain tools.\n Plans and coordinates capacity, manufacturing activities, and personnel into an integrated organization to meet actual and forecasted product delivery schedules and productivity targets\n Demonstrates the ability to objectively size up a situation and provide direct and actionable feedback in a respectful manner that achieves organizational objectives; can make tough or unpopular decisions when warranted based on a comprehensive assessment the inputs and expectations; faces up to problems quickly and directly without being intimidating.\n Leader in creating a culture of continuous improvement via positive change while at the same time ensuring that any SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale) risks from the change are identified and managed.\n Actively manages the change process and participates in the change activities via kaizen events.\n Identifies and drives the resolution of parts shortages and/or excess stock.\n Works with the Supply Chain group to identify specific parts for cost reduction opportunities.\n Manages a large department or a few small departments through supervisors and leads.\n\nQualifications\nEducation\n Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.\n MS or MBA preferred.\nExperience\n 7+ years of lead manufacturing experience\nSkills\n Prior Experience with high dollar automated equipment a MUST\n Lean Manufacturing operations experience a MUST\n Experience with ISO requirements mandatory.\n Experience with FDA preferred.\n Strong people leadership skills - Dynamic, Driven and passion, Setting clear expectations, accountability management and consequence leadership.\n Excellent communication, interpersonal, administrative and operating skills\n Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills\n Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management\n Independence and good judgment, positive attitude, and an innovative spirit\n Promote and facilitate associate development in various Lean tools and operations leadership.\n Evaluate and approve Associates for continued cross-training across the operations and build up cross training matrices in alignment with strategic direction\n Results orientation - must deliver results\n Highly automated equipment experience - must possess the technical skills necessary to be seen as credible by peers and managers with regards to automation.\n High energy and able to handle conflict, hold crucial conversations.\n Proven process improvement and change management skills\n Effective coaching and mentoring skills\nWhy Hologic?\nAt Hologic, we are committed to making healthcare better through innovation, collaboration, and customer excellence. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
