Work will primarily focus on supporting the development of a nucleic acid amplification test on an automated platform.\nThis is a fully onsite position in San Diego, CA.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPlan, execute, and analyze minimally complex experiments with input from supervisor.\nUnderstand experiment goals and provide input to experimental design.\nPerform basic benchtop molecular biology laboratory tasks in support of experiments.\nAnalyze data from individual experiments with input from supervisor and document work in laboratory notebook or report.\nSummarize and communicate results from experiments.\nEffectively communicate with peers and supervisor. Present data in group meetings.\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.\nCandidates with a M.S. in a relevant field are encouraged to apply.\nExperience:\n0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.\nFamiliarity with basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR, nucleic acid extraction, pipetting, solution preparation, and laboratory documentation is preferred.\nExperience with data analysis and interpretation using Excel or other technical software.\nThe annualized base salary range for this hourly role is $48,500 - $72,800 and is bonus eligible.
