Special focus on coordinating the planning and execution of actionable export orders shipping via parcel, Ocean Freight, and Air Freight. Organize, plan, and prioritize work to drive continuous improvement for inbound, outbound and warehousing using best practices. Track and report regularly on metrics to drive best practices.\nReceives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Management reviews work to measure meeting of objectives. Provides immediate supervision/acts as an advisor to a unit or group of employees, and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.\nWorks on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations and may exercises judgement within defined policies to determine appropriate action. Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit. Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nThe incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.\nManage timely and quality execution of customer orders to meet scheduled pickup ready and ship dates/service levels.\nLeads and directs the daily activities of the on-site logistics and distribution teams as well as any carriers, where applicable.\nPlan resources and adjust staffing accordingly to maintain shipping all orders on time and in full.\nSupport team members by leading dynamic slotting to help prepare the floor ahead or orders dropping to the warehouse.\nDrive change management and continuous improvement using best practices and regular KPI monitoring and reporting.\nEnsures desired level of inventory accuracy and review inventory transactions for data integrity.\nEnsure expiration date management is strong and actions of each team member are on high alert to avoid this issue. Implement controls so that soon-to-expire product is regularly identified and isolated so that we have 100% compliance on not shipping expired product.\nOversee daily cycle count program and publishes results. Reconciles to correct data and implements corrective action.\nInventory control, cycle counts, and SOX compliance.\nMaintains inventory location accuracy as well as transaction data integrity, regularly monitoring and escalating aging inventory.\nMaintains a clean and safe work environment for warehouse staff.\nEmploys and controls processes to support FEFO and LEFO controls.\nGuide, direct, motivate, and develop subordinate personnel through coaching and mentoring techniques to achieve excellence.\nProvide constant feedback and feed-forward to the areas under responsibility to help remove barriers.\nEvaluate and review subordinate performance via goal setting and the performance review process\nCoordinate and lead to long-term planning processes as well as planning resources to support distribution plans in the horizons of planning from 0-12 months.\nManage the communication between the plant of production and Corporation (marketing and sales and supply chain corporate), relating to the plans of production and changes of demand.\nMonitor and control the processes of ERP.\nManage team members to execute distribution operations within deadlines.\nAssess the impact of the changes of demand, in the plans of production and capacity.\nOversee daily activities of team members and provide assistance whenever needed.\nAddress customer queries promptly and ensures customer satisfaction.\nInform customers about their shipping status and delays if any.\nConduct training for new hires when required.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nSit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.\nStand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\nLifting/moving and carrying products weighing up to 40 pounds.\nExposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.\nExposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.\nSafety Shoes with Impact and Compression Protection Must be worn in designated areas.\nExposure to blood.\nQualifications:\nEducation\nHigh School or General Education Degree (GED), May have an Associate Degree,\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment\nSkills\nProficient in MS Office and ERP/logistics systems\nKnowledgeable in good inventory techniques and various inventory computer systems and applications\nAbility to communicate effectively and timely, verbally and in writing, tailoring style to audience\nEffective problem solving and critical thinking to handle unexpected challenges\nTime and task management to prioritize and complete several duties by their respective deadlines.\nExperience in warehouse management and executing domestic and international shipments\nExperience coordinating all inbound/outbound including imports with internal and external partners\nJudgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems\nHighly organized and very detailed oriented\nWhy Hologic?\nAt Hologic, we are committed to making healthcare better through innovation, collaboration, and customer excellence. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
