You are someone who rolls up their sleeves, dives into the engineering details, and leads by example to help a multidisciplinary team build robust, high-quality hardware products.Main objectives of the role\nTechnical Authority:Serve as the ultimate technical authority and \"go-to\" person for establishing confidence ratings on product development risks and defining engineering mitigation actions.\n\nReliability Champion:Bring a deep, specialized focus to hardware reliability across the product lifecycle, shifting the team toward proactive physics-of-failure engineering.\n\nTeam Leadership:Successfully manage, mentor, and coordinate a highly technical, cross-functional team of 4 engineers spanning validation testing, reliability engineering, and development of production test equipment\n\nYour role and responsibilities\nPeople Management:Lead a team of 4 people: 2 Development-focused Quality Engineers (1 Electrical and 1 Mechanical Engineer), and 1 Test Development Tech Lead and 1 Test Development Engineer developing custom test equipment primarily for QC in production.\n\nCertification:Own our certification strategy and execution end-to-end, ensuring a predictable, successful, and fast certification process to meet ambitious timelines. This includes strong coordination with external certification laboratories and involvement of the right stakeholders (compliance bodies) at the right time of a project.\n\nHardware Reliability:Bring a strong focus to hardware reliability, taking ownership of methodologies such as HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening).\n\nEngineering Investigations:Take the lead on deep-dive engineering investigations of technical issues arising from both early product development and the field.\n\nValidation Strategy:Help bring best practices to the definition and documentation of the product validation plan, test strategy, and test coverage.\n\nExecution & Coordination:Plan, estimate costs, and coordinate all product validation and test development activities.\n\nWhat you need to succeed in this role\nPractical Engineering Experience:A strong, hands-on engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related discipline) with extensive \"on-the-bench\" experience.\n\nReliability Expertise:Proven experience implementing HALT/HASS testing and translating stress-testing data into actual product design improvements.\n\nRoot-Cause Mastery:Exceptional skills in engineering investigation and root-cause analysis, with the ability to guide a team through complex technical troubleshooting.\n\nCross-Functional Literacy:The ability to understand and speak the language of mechanical, electrical, and software test engineers seamlessly.\n\nPragmatic Leadership:Experience leading small teams of engineers with a collaborative, supportive style that balances strict quality standards with product delivery timelines.\n\nWe offer you\nAt HOLOPLOT we work in a flexible hybrid setup with trust-based working hours, giving you the freedom to organise your day in a way that supports focus, deep work and balance.
