Must have minimum 5 years of verifiable experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nRequirements: Generally has more than five years of experience and/or demonstrated job-relevant knowledge/skills. Possesses moderate knowledge of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks; is indirectly supervised and self-starting.\n Essential Functions:\nTransports all equipment deliveries and pickups in a positive, caring manner while striving for promptness, accuracy, and efficiency\nSecures equipment onto the truck and ensures that materials meet state and federal guidelines for safe transport and vehicle capabilities. Assists other departmentswhenever required in an efficient manner\n\nCompletes DOT-required drivers' daily logs accurately and without misrepresentation\nCompletes driver’s daily inspection report, making recommendations for repair or maintenance, as well as being responsible for the clean appearance of the companyassigned vehicle\n\nOn an accurate and timely basis, completes and submits all related documentation to maintain the established business systems/process and ensures that the company is achieving its business goals. (I.e. Rental agreements, equipment check-out, and check-in reports return receipts, pick upreceipts, non-movement, permits, etc.)\n\nEnsures that all physical resources (overall shop appearance, staging area, tools, parts, inventory, personal hygiene, etc.) are maintained in a clean, workingorder to ensure a safe working environment and exceptional customer satisfaction\n\nPerform pre- and post-vehicle inspection; Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition, before, during, and after delivery trips\nWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nSound knowledge of CAT construction equipment/ operation, and industrial engines, transportation DOT guidelines, and safe driving procedures\nKnowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety Regulations/DOT guidelines\nDemonstrates proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems\nKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance\nKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standardsfor services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction\n\nQuality control analysis skills - conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance\nOperation and control skills - controlling operations of equipment or systems\nEquipment selection skills - determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job\nThe ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions\nEducation and Experience\nFive years of verifiable heavy haul driving experience required, over eight years preferred\nThree years verifiable driving experience operating a 7 or 8-axle configuration truck is required, and five or more preferred\nValid Texas Driver’s License with Class A CDL required to include the ability to maintain the Valid Texas Driver’s License\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nTravel:\nTravel up to 100%\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 100% of the time\nMust be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.\nFrequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds\nConstant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina\n Disclaimer: Please note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
