In addition, the Production Scheduler is responsible for executing and managing all scheduling activities for these products by negotiating, facilitating the execution of plans, ensuring material and capacity are sufficient for production, and in collaboration with the Operations Group.\n\nThe incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.\nEssential Functions\n\nModels, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission\nInterprets and communicates product demand into a valid production schedule and execute the schedule to meet shipment dates \nCoordinates and maintains orders with production capacity and commitments through collaboration with project managers and business managers \nEnters, releases, and ensures orders from start to ready to ship (RTS). Communicates order status to customers through appropriate channels and ensure product is invoiced on time \nPerforms Root Cause Analysis, makes recommendations and where applicable implement Corrective Action Plans for issues involving the production schedule and customer delivery \nWorks closely with management team and marketing, sales, operations, and engineering to identify and resolve production schedule interruptions\nManages capacity planning to meet sales and operating objectives\nTracks and reports critical KPI’s\nWorks safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\nKnowledge in purchasing, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations, transportation, and /or logistics\nAdvanced skills in Excel and Office\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization, and communication skills \nExcellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills\nStrong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills\nTime management and organizational skills\nAbility to identify complex problems and to review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions\nConsulting and influencing abilities\nAbility to prepare reports and maintain records\n\nRequirements\n\nEducation and Experience:\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent required\nAssociates Degree in Supply Chain Management or 4 years previous production scheduling experience required\nMinimum of 4 years of Supply Chain experience required \nPrevious Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience preferred\nAPICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification preferred \n6 Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience preferred\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nTravel:\nNone\nPhysical Requirements:\nPosition involves extended periods in a stationary position and majority of time on production floor/environment \nRole frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations\nConstant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina\nRoutinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work\n Work Environment:\nRequires wearing proper protective and safety equipment (PPE) \nThis job is generally performed in a manufacturing/production environment, in environmentally controlled conditions\nOccasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity\nFrequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions\nRequires dealing with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people \n Disclaimer:\n\nPlease note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
