2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.\nEssential Functions\nDemonstrates the ability to read drawings and blueprints and program the brake to run bend and forming operations while using standard and custom dies\nChecks overall dimensions using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges, and other precision-measuring instruments to ensure tight tolerances.\nCompensate for bend allowances for various sheet metal thicknesses.\nPerform routine maintenance on the machine.\nWorks as a member of the manufacturing team to provide high quality products that satisfies the customer (internal and external) and achieves manufacturing goals\nLearns and performs setup and utilize plasma and oxy CNC cut machines to produce “Burn to Shape” / cut parts, loading component parts to Plasma, Oxy Cut, Shear, Press and Roll equipment\nModels, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission\nWorks safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standard\nRequires regular and punctual employee attendance\nPerforms other duties assigned\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nWorking experience with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operated press brakes and the ability to compensate for bend allowances for various sheet metal thicknesses.\nAbility to perform routine maintenance on the press brakes\nAbility to maneuver safely and work underneath equipment\nAbility to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.\nRequirements\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nUp to 2 years of computer operating machinery and manufacturing experience required\nTrained and skilled in the use micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges, and other precision-measuring instruments to ensure tight tolerances\nExperience in operating an automated shear to cut steel sheet and plates preferred\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy required\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nTravel:\nLess that 5% travel may be required\nAdditional Requirements:\nValid Driver’s license required\nAbility to obtain a forklift license.\nWillingness to learn how to operate our DAVI plate roller and Messer down draft cut table.\nPhysical Requirements:\nExtended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, climbing, and reaching\nConstant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity and coordination\nCommunicates with customers, service managers, and co-workers\nRoutinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work\nFrequently lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50lb approximately 5 times a day\nAscends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment\n Work Environment:\nRegularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to temperature extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity\nRequires wearing proper protective and safety equipment (PPE)\nExposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, overhead crane operations, heavy plate material, and high-pressure forming machines\nRequired to perform work in cramped spaces and/or on elevated surfaces\nWorks in extremely bright lighting exposed to flashes of light from welding, high noise levels and body vibration\n Disclaimer:\nPlease note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
