As our Housing and Property Lead, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!\nWhat you'll do\nMaking sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.\nHelp our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.\nWhere there is a need, you’ll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.\nGetting rooms ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you’ll turn around vacant or void rooms / bed spaces / properties within set timescales.\nEnsuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.\nWhy join us\nThis is more than a job, it’s a place where you feel valued. We can’t offer a CoS for this role.\nYou have\nExperience in managing a housing caseload and handle landlord and housing management duties\nKnow-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.\nAble to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues\nThe ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.\nA “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.\nConfident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners\nThe practical bits\nPermanent, part time (15 hpw), flexible working hours\nYou'll work a mixture of 8am to 4pm and 12pm to 8pm shifts, with requirement to work one weekend day every other week.\nYou'll work across dispersed supported housing properties in Wymondham.\nAble to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,\nTo get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes.
