The team works in office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.\nWhat You'll Be Accountable For\nBuild and grow our applications, services, and APIs by shipping new features and enhancements.\n\nOwn implementation end to end, using AI tooling to deliver features from idea to production quickly and responsibly.\n\nCreate AI-driven workflows and automation that streamline how we work.\n\nCollaborate through code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions.\n\nPartner with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap and solve hard problems.\n\nShip maintainable, well-tested code that scales.\n\nCollaboration\nReports to an Engineering Leader\n\nWorks cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams\n\nExperience & Qualifications\nYou have 3+ years building production-grade software. You're a capable full-stack engineer comfortable working in TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and more.\n\nYou think in APIs and services. You've built and consumed REST and GraphQL APIs. You keep services decoupled, typed, and scalable.\n\nYou build with AI. You use AI-powered dev tools and agentic workflows daily, and you own the code you ship and the decisions behind it.\n\nYou build for quality. You write clean, testable code with strong typing and runtime validation. You test behavior over implementation.\n\nYou care how it runs, and how it's used. You instrument what you build with monitoring, logging, tracing, and product analytics like Amplitude.\n\nYou know your way around data. Solid grasp of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL).\n\nYou're a collaborative teammate. You communicate clearly, give and take thoughtful code reviews, and enjoy working with product and design.\n\nBonus Points\nFamiliarity with the home buying, lending, and real estate process\n\nExperience with microservice architectures and decomposing monoliths\n\nA track record of shipping AI-powered or agentic features\n\nHands-on with GraphQL at scale\n\nExposure to data tooling like Snowflake, Airflow, or dbt\n\nCharacteristics of a Homebot Engineer\nA positive, solution-oriented thinker who takes initiative and adds value\n\nDriven to learn and take on hard problems\n\nEnjoys helping peers and learning from them in turn\n\nA pragmatist who places a high value on code quality\n\nA strong understanding of the value that tests provide\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nHomebot is committed to offering competitive pay and benefits reflective of the Denver market. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, and professional experience.
