This role works closely with Software Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Operations teams to ensure solutions perform correctly under real-world warehouse conditions.\nThe ideal candidate is passionate about quality engineering, test automation, and operational simulation. They will develop and execute tests that validate warehouse workflows, robotic fleet behavior, integrations, and customer-specific configurations through a combination of automated testing, hardware emulation, and simulation-based validation.\nThis role plays a critical part in preventing production issues by identifying defects and operational risks before software reaches customer environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nQuality Assurance & Testing\nDevelop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures.\nValidate functionality across warehouse execution workflows, robotic fleet operations, inventory movement, and fulfillment processes.\nPerform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.\nVerify system behavior under normal operating conditions and exception scenarios.\nDocument test results, defects, and quality risks.\nOperational Simulation\nBuild and execute simulation scenarios that mimic real-world warehouse operations.\nValidate software performance under:High order volumes\nPeak operational periods\nRobot congestion\nEquipment failures\nNetwork interruptions\nResource contention\nInventory exceptions\n\nAssist in maintaining digital twin environments representing customer deployments.\nDevelop reusable operational test scenarios for release validation.\nHardware Emulation & System Integration\nConfigure and maintain emulated warehouse environments.\nValidate integrations with:Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)\nWarehouse Management Systems (WMS)\nWarehouse Execution Systems (WES)\nBarcode scanners\nLabel printers\nPLC-controlled equipment\nConveyor systems\nThird-party APIs\n\nReproduce customer-reported issues using simulation and emulation environments.\nTest Automation\nDevelop automated test suites for APIs, workflows, integrations, and regression testing.\nExpand automated coverage across warehouse and robotics applications.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\nMaintain test frameworks and automation infrastructure.\nParticipate in code reviews for automated test development.\nDefect Investigation & Root Cause Analysis\nIdentify, document, and track software defects.\nWork with engineering teams to reproduce and diagnose issues.\nPerform root cause analysis for production incidents.\nVerify defect fixes and regression impacts.\nProvide quality assessments for release readiness.\nRelease Validation\nParticipate in release certification activities.\nExecute operational acceptance testing.\nAssess release risk and communicate findings to stakeholders.\nValidate customer-specific configurations before deployment.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Information Systems, or related field.\n3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or systems validation.\nExperience testing distributed software systems.\nExperience with API and integration testing.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to understand complex operational workflows.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in warehouse automation, logistics, robotics, manufacturing, or industrial software.\nExperience with simulation environments or digital twins.\nExperience with hardware/software integration testing.\nFamiliarity with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).\nExperience with warehouse management or execution systems.\nKnowledge of industrial automation concepts and PLC integrations.\nExperience supporting customer-facing production systems.\nStrong proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
