This role helps lead front-of-house team members, maintains high standards of service, and ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The Floor Supervisor serves as a working leader, guiding staff, resolving guest issues, and helping keep operations running smoothly.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nSupports and promotes a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all workplace health and safety requirements and reinforcing safe behaviors across the team. \nDevelop healthy teams based on Trust, Healthy Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Attention to Results\nConduct opening and closing duties.\nConduct pre-shift checks and table visits.\nAddress ordering and scheduling problems.\nSupport management functions, as assigned, to ensure smooth operations.\nTrain staff.\nWork specific front of house positions due to excessive volume or staff shortages including but not limited to Server, Cashier, Bartender, or Hostess.\nCertify and train new hire employees.\nProvide feedback for employees in their position.\nImplement new standards and practices.\nUpdate training materials.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nTwo-year college degree and equivalent to direct restaurant (FOH) experience of 1-2 years+\nPossess excellent basic math skills and can operate a cash register or POS system.\nStrong communication and customer service skills.\nAbility to remain calm during busy or challenging situations.\nContinuously be able to physically lift, reach, bend and stop. \nAbility to stand for extended periods. (up to 5 hours).\nHave working knowledge of the predominant language of our guests\nFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.\nYou must obtain Food Handler certification within 30 days of being hired.\nYou must obtain Safety shoes are required within 30 days of being hired.\nMust be at least 21 years old\nFood Allergens at the Restaurant: Milk, Eggs, Tree nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, Soybeans, Sesame.\nHome Run Inn Pizza is a fourth-generation family business known for authentic Chicago tavern-style pizza.
