This role will focus on automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous delivery using modern DevOps tools and practices.\nResponsibilities:\nCollaborate with development and security teams to support Business initiatives\nDeploy and manage applications in Amazon Web Services environments\nDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions\nBuild and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation\nDevelop automation scripts and tools using like Python and Bash\nCost estimates of AWS AI related services\nImplement infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices for repeatable and version-controlled deployments\nEnsure security and compliance through IAM roles, policies and best practices\nFollow proper governance set forth by HomeServe Cloud and Security teams\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments\nAdhere to organizational governance, security, and compliance standards, ensuring all cloud resources and pipelines align with established policies, audit requirements, and best practices\nMaintain the Cloud team’s standards in all areas of the HomeServe Cloud Infrastructure\nBuild and maintain tools to manage deployment activities\nEnsure exceptional documentation and communication of processes, procedures, and efficiencies\nDesign, deploy, and safeguard AWS cloud systems applications to ensure both reliability and security\nEssential Functions:\n\nEssential Job Function\n\n% of Time on Function\n\nManaging Cloud environment\n\n10%\n\nDesign and Project work for cloud environment\n\n35%\n\nScripting and Automation\n\n40%\n\nDocumentation\n\n15%\n\nTotal\n\n100%\n\nJob Requirements:\nAbility to take project/business requirements and build a cloud solution that adheres to HomeServe’s Network, Security and Governance standards\nStrong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance\nProven experience with cloud cost management\nExposure to AWS AI related services\nSolid understanding of Cloud Security services\nMaintain the Cloud team’s standard environments and services\nImplement automation solutions while developing new efficiencies and improvements\n3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role\nHands-on experience with Amazon Web Services such as but not limited to (S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Bedrock, Containers, SQS)\nStrong experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions\nProficiency in Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation\nStrong scripting/programming skills in Python\nExperience with version control systems (Git-based workflows)\nEnsure exceptional documentation and communication of processes, procedures, and efficiencies\nFamiliarity with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting\nAbility to see big picture and future proof designs\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment\nEffective communication skills (technical and non-technical)\nSelf-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement\nMinimum Physical Requirements: \nThe physical demands described represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
