Day-to-day, the optimizations and performance of these solutions allow HomeServe USA to achieve its rapid growth. This is a critical IT Infrastructure component, so the candidate must have extensive experience in virtual, cloud and storage technologies. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Active Directory services and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Windows-based enterprise systems, identity and access management (IAM), and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles. The focus of the Sr. Infrastructure Engineer will entail the engineering and support of all the virtualized systems across multiple data centers and cloud while ensuring the environment is managed to meet best practice standards and agreed service availability (SLA’s). The successful candidate will also have experience in cloud platforms and will drive strategies for implementing cloud platforms at HomeServe USA.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure on AWS.\nImplement AWS IAM policies, roles, and federated identity integrations with AD.\nBuild and maintain cloud automation and provisioning using CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools.\nManage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, and Systems Manager.\nSupport hybrid-cloud architecture, including AD domain controllers and workloads in AWS.\nOptimize costs and resource utilization through monitoring, automation, and lifecycle management.\nDesign, implement, and manage Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).\nMaintain the existing enterprise virtualization environment (VMware), including troubleshooting, performance monitoring and optimization, capacity, and continuity planning.\nAssist in the planning, design, and implementation of new virtualization technology solutions.\nEnsure security, compliance, and operational standards are met across both on-prem and cloud environments.\nAutomate administrative tasks using PowerShell, AWS CLI, and Python.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud migration, DR planning, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.\nMaintain and manage Citrix environments (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud).\nUsing observability tools, ensure high availability, and quickly respond to incidents and outages.\nDocument system configurations, procedures, and best practices.\nMaintain an expert level of knowledge by maintaining current certifications, attending seminars or other related activities.\nInteract with hardware and software vendors to ensure timely resolution to any issues or outages.\nRespond quickly and effectively to production issues and take responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours.\nAssist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.\nAnalyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and development of the relevant IT systems.\nParticipate in Post-Mortem meetings to discuss any outage occurrences, years of strong technical IT infrastructure/systems experience with a strong emphasis towards virtualization technologies, with proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.\nA minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.\nA minimum of 5 years’ experience in virtualization technologies, including expert knowledge of optimization and industry best practices.\nA minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory in a large enterprise.\n3+ years of experience supporting and administering Citrix environments (Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop or Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops).\nDeep understanding of Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022).\nProficient in administering Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.\nExperience managing a PKI infrastructure including both internal and external CAs.\nAdvanced experience in systems and network observability tools such as DataDog.\nSubject Matter Expert knowledge of VMware ESX(i) Server 7.0 and above, and VMware vCenter.\nAdvanced experience in SAN storage technologies and integration with VMware, specifically with Pure Storage.\nAdvanced experience in the use of SAN replication and SRM.\nAdvanced experience and knowledge in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, or Python.\nExcellent knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP and other TCP/IP protocols and services in support of the virtualization and storage technologies.\nExceptional customer service skills, in addition to extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.\nCapable of accomplishing tasks with minimal supervision.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all IT Infrastructure groups.\nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.\nUnderstanding and application of ITIL principles and practices, and how they relate to the goals and objectives of the organization.\nContinually update and maintain, where necessary, all related documentation, technical or otherwise, for new and existing systems. This is to include inventory, change control, or process functionality documentation.\nDesired Skills:\nCertification in ITIL.\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect.\nMCSE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.\nCitrix Certified Associate/Professional (CCA-V/CCP-V).\nVMware VCP Certification.\nExpert knowledge or working knowledge of Cisco UCS and HPE Intel based server hardware and deployment.\nExpert knowledge or working knowledge of supporting Windows Server operating systems in a virtual environment.\nGood understanding of virtualization platforms beyond VMware such as Citrix, KVM, Hyper-V.\nKnowledge and understanding of enterprise-class solutions in storage and networking such as Pure Storage, EMC VNX, Cisco UCS, and Cisco Nexus.\nExperience dealing with vendors for providing timely solutions as required by their support contracts.\nKnowledge and understanding in adhering to company policies and procedures, such as the use of RFCs, procurement procedures and asset tracking.\nMinimum Physical Requirements: \nThe physical demands described represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
