You'll be responsible for planning, coordinating teams, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.\nThis is a senior, hands-on role where you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, lead project delivery and play a key part in improving our processes as the business continues to grow.\nResponsibilities:\nEnd-to-End Project Management: Taking full ownership of solar PV and battery storage projects, from contract award through to commissioning, handover and close-out.\n\nProject Planning: Planning every stage before work starts, including programmes, resources, procurement, design sign-off and approvals.\n\nOn-Site Delivery: Leading installation teams and subcontractors, running progress meetings and driving quality, safety and efficiency.\n\nBudget & Cost Management: Owning project budgets and margins, including cost control, forecasting, variations and valuations.\n\nStakeholder Management: Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and DNOs, while managing contracts and resolving issues as they arise.\n\nReporting & Performance: Reporting project progress, risks and financial performance to the Head of Operations and leadership team.\n\nTeam Support & Process Improvement: Supporting project coordinators and the wider Operations team, while continuously improving how projects are planned and delivered.\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\nIndustry Experience: 3+ years in the solar PV and/or battery storage industry, including at least 2 years managing projects end to end.\n\nProject Delivery: A proven track record of planning and delivering commercial-scale projects safely, on time and within budget, with examples you can confidently talk us through.\n\nTechnical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of G98/G99 DNO processes, MCS, BS 7671, CDM 2015 and site health and safety requirements.\n\nCommercial Awareness: Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, managing variations and protecting project margins.\n\nSubcontractor & Supplier Management: Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and contracts throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nLeadership & Communication: Confident leading installation teams, managing subcontractors and building strong relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.\n\nExtra Credit:\nHealth & Safety Qualifications: SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH, CSCS and First Aid certifications.\n\nProject Management Qualifications: A recognised qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or PMP.\n\nElectrical Qualifications: Relevant electrical qualifications, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, 18th Edition or Part P.\n\nRenewable Energy Qualifications: BPEC or equivalent qualifications in solar PV, battery storage or EV charging.\n\nCommercial Project Experience: Experience delivering large commercial rooftop or ground-mounted solar installations, or EV charging projects.\n\nProject Management Software: Experience using job management or project management software to track progress, improve reporting and support decision-making.\n\nOur Recruitment Process:\nSkills-Based Interview: Engage in a detailed discussion about your past experiences with our Operations Manager (1 hr)\n\nPerks of the job\nWe have an ever expanding list of benefits that currently includes:\nCompany Pension\n\nHealthcare Plan via our health insurance provider Benenden\n\n25 days plus bank holidays\n\nEV Salary Sacrifice Scheme\n\nCompany Events\n\nAbout Hometree\nJoin Hometree at the most exciting moment in our story.
