You will be responsible for driving project execution, managing technical and program risks, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.\nReporting directly to the Director of Project Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of avionics products used throughout the global aerospace industry while collaborating with teams across North America, Europe, and Asia.\nWhy Join Honeywell Aerospace?\nLead complex avionics development programs with meaningful technical and business impact.\nWork on established aerospace products that support flight safety, navigation, communication, and surveillance.\nCollaborate with global engineering teams and industry-leading technical experts.\nGrow your leadership skills while managing cross-functional engineering projects.\nBenefit from a flexible hybrid work environment with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Leadership\nLead cross-functional engineering teams through the planning and execution of avionics development programs.\nDefine project scope, objectives, schedules, deliverables, and resource requirements.\nDevelop and maintain project plans using Microsoft Project.\nServe as the primary technical interface for customers, program managers, and key stakeholders.\nSupport teams in resolving technical and program execution challenges.\nProgram Execution\nMonitor project performance against schedule, budget, and technical objectives.\nApply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to evaluate project health and performance.\nLead risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution activities.\nManage project scope and baseline changes throughout the program lifecycle.\nCoordinate activities across engineering, certification, manufacturing, and business functions.\nCustomer and Business Engagement\nLead proposal development, statement of work creation, and cost-estimating activities.\nProvide project status updates to leadership, customers, and stakeholders.\nBuild strong working relationships with customers, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.\nIdentify and implement process improvements that strengthen project execution.\nAbout the CNS Organization\nThe Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) organization develops and supports a broad portfolio of avionics products, including:\nWeather Radar Systems\nGround Proximity Warning Systems\nInstrument Landing Systems\nCommunication and Datalink Radios\nNavigation Radios\nTransponders\nTraffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS)\nRadar Altimeters\nOur global engineering teams are located in Arizona, Minnesota, India, the Czech Republic, and China, working together to develop, certify, and sustain products that are relied upon by operators around the world.\n MUST HAVE\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace systems project engineering.\nWE VALUE\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification.\nExperience with Earned Value Management (EVM).\nExperience supporting aviation certification activities.\nExperience leading Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.\nAdvanced degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business, or a related field.\nExperience working in a global engineering environment.\nThis position requires Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification, which certification of the two will be determined by the level of the position & meeting the minimum experience requirements of the certification. Candidates who do not currently hold the certification required for their position level must obtain the applicable certification within six (6) months of hire.
