You will work on innovative projects that enhance the performance, safety, and reliability of aerospace electrical systems.\nYou will work report directly to our Director of Engineering, working out of Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.\nNew hires are expected to report 100% onsite M-F for the first 90 days of employment.\nIn this role, you will impact the development and delivery of cutting-edge solutions that support Honeywell’s aerospace initiatives, helping to drive innovation and maintain our leadership in the industry.\n Develop, test and maintain software tools and applications for aerospace systems and products.\nTranslate system and software requirements into robust implementations.\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and defects.\nCollaborate across various functional and global engineering and project engineering teams.\nWork with engineering teams to help release design and documentation.\n YOU MUST HAVE\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as SW Engineering, science, technology, or mathematics.\n3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in embedded systems or aerospace-related applications.\nWE VALUE\nProficiency in programming languages such as C++, C and understanding of software development lifecycle.\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail in design and testing processes.\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.\nBasic knowledge of hardware-software integration and debugging techniques.\nFamiliarity with aerospace software standards such as DO-178C and experience with debugging and testing embedded software.\nExperience with avionics software development and integration\nExperience with version control systems and software testing methodologies.\nInternship or co-op experience in aerospace or embedded software development.\nKnowledge of real-time operating systems, embedded software design, and aerospace industry standards.\nExperience with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and eagerness to learn new technologies.\nDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.\nBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL AEROSPACE\nBeyond a performance-driven salary, you'll work alongside dedicated experts on technology that's advancing aviation.
