You will play a key role in delivering innovative software that supports the safety, efficiency, and performance of aircraft systems.\nYou will report directly to our Director of Engineering, working out of Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.\nNew hires are expected to report 100% onsite M-F for the first 90 days of employment.\nIn this role, you will impact the development and delivery of cutting-edge software solutions that support Honeywell’s aerospace initiatives, helping to drive innovation and maintain our leadership in the industry.\n Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for avionics and electronic systems\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and system architecture.\nEnsure software compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations\nConduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to deliver robust and reliable software\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and defects.\nWork with engineering teams to help release design and documentation.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nCustomer Interaction.\nProject Oversight / Coordination.\n YOU MUST HAVE\nBachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the SW Engineering, sciences, technology, or mathematics\n9+ years of experience in advanced software development, preferably in aerospace or related industries.\nWE VALUE\nExperience in similar product domains is of value i.e. Avionics, Navigation and/or Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT).\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.\nFamiliarity with aerospace software standards such as DO-178C and experience with debugging and testing embedded software.\nExperience with avionics software development and integration\nExperience with version control systems and software testing methodologies.\nIndividuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.\nMulti-tasking and ability to adapt dictated by project changes.\nExperience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.\nAbility to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail in design and testing processes.\nKnowledge of real-time operating systems, embedded software design, and aerospace industry standards.\nExperience with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and eagerness to learn new technologies.\nProficiency in programming languages such as C++, C and understanding of software development lifecycle.\nDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.\nBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL AEROSPACE\nBeyond a performance-driven salary, you'll work alongside dedicated experts on technology that's advancing aviation.
