The Systems Modelling and Analysis (SM&A) Engineer will undertake tasks demanding technical expertise involving co-operation with other departments. Responsibilities include building steady state and dynamic models of Environmental Control Systems and Life Support Systems; perform and analyse system performance simulations, provide analytical input to the design process and conduct the analysis and interpretation of test results.\nThe successful applicant will report directly to the Senior ECS System Engineering Manager, and you will work out of our Yeovil (UK) location. We offer a hybrid work schedule.\nIn this role, you will impact the company's ability to deliver high-quality, innovative, and technologically advanced ECS and LSS solutions. Your technical expertise and commitment to excellence will contribute to the company's success, reputation, and growth in the industry.\nKey Responsibilities\nBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.\nWorking knowledge of thermodynamic, fluid flow and control theory is required.\nKnowledge of Aircraft pneumatic systems and components is beneficial.\nFamiliarity with Aerospace industry guidelines, specifications and practices is beneficial.\nExperience of analytical tools, including Matlab/Simulink, CFD, Simcenter or similar would be beneficial.\nKey skills and qualifications\nAbility to communicate effectively using written, verbal and presentation skills. \nAbility to interpret technical specifications. \nAbility to carry out theoretical engineering. \nAbility to resolve problems using scientific methods.\nMay interact with external customers to facilitate and support the completion of modelled analysis.\nPresent project work status to Honeywell Aerospace leadership.\nAssess & analyse data to enable effective compliance to the customer and design needs.\nPropose technical improvements using engineering knowledge, principles and experience.\nThis position is subject to meeting the eligibility conditions of export control licenses and technical assistant agreements.\nJoin a company that's reintroducing itself to the aviation community we've helped advance for more than a century.
