The ideal candidate would be an experienced engineer with strong interpersonal skills, as the position demands frequent interaction with both internal and external customers. The candidate must be capable of exercising initiative and sound judgment.\nYou will report directly to our Senior Mechanical Design Engineering Manager and work out of our Phoenix, Az location on a hybrid work schedule.\n Partner with Operations to diagnose and resolve day-to-day manufacturing issues, ensuring stable and efficient operations. Resolution of problems with a high sense of urgency.\nOffer technical assistance for disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, and testing of gas turbine engines.\nIdentify opportunities to enhance business performance concerning reliability, quality, process turnaround time, first pass yield, cost, productivity, and warranty claims.\nImplement aggressive cost reduction initiatives and explore external business opportunities related to the Repair & Overhaul sector.\nSupport global financial productivity goals through Repair Development, test system improvements, and the implementation of standardized processes.\nExamine all aspects of the Repair & Overhaul process for standardization opportunities.\nDevelop repair schemes utilizing new and existing repair technologies for aircraft components.\nCollaborate with customers to identify and execute actions that resolve issues and drive future growth opportunities.\nParticipate as a team member in Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, and the Aerospace Operating System (AOS).\n YOU MUST HAVE\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.\nA minimum of 4 years of experience in the manufacturing or aerospace industry\nWE VALUE\nDFSS Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months\nAbility to work independently\nProven technical skills in manufacturing processes\nExperience with gas turbine engines or auxiliary power units and experience with troubleshooting\nProficiency in reading and interpreting maintenance manuals and design drawings\nCapability to analyze and resolve test systems issues to restore systems to service\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, essential for representing the site in technical discussions with customers and/or regulatory agencies\nDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.\nSPONSORSHIP\nWe are currently not sponsoring applicants for work visas for this job.
