This role requires strong hands-on problem-solving skills, effective collaboration across engineering and production teams, and the ability to develop creative solutions that keep critical test operations running reliably.\nIn this role, you will play a key role as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting for both hardware and software engineering, contributing to essential projects that drive the future of aerospace Navigation, Inertial Sensing and hardware systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nRepair and maintain legacy Surface test stations, using creative and practical solutions to ensure equipment remains operational and supports the product line.\nSet up and improve vibration display board systems so technicians can control multiple test stations from a central location. Support improvements that allow stations to be moved into adjacent work areas while optimizing available space.\nRestore and maintain legacy simulators to provide a reliable production backup and eliminate single points of failure. Coordinate with engineering to protect development activities when production equipment requires support.\nSupport the Customer Service Center by ensuring test equipment is functioning properly and answering questions regarding the correct methods for testing Return Goods (RGs).\nSupport developmental programs and collaborate with the PR Software Team to troubleshoot issues, brainstorm solutions, and implement effective fixes. \nUpgrade Test Stations to newer Windows Versions. .\nPerform general troubleshooting of units, test stations, and rate tables in response to production and engineering support needs.\nAssist with calibration tracking and develop processes that improve equipment visibility, readiness, and long-term maintainability.\nDocument troubleshooting activities, equipment modifications, test results, and recommended corrective actions.\nCollaborate with technicians, software engineers, production personnel, and other engineering teams to resolve test-related issues efficiently.\n Required Qualifications\nExperience troubleshooting production test equipment, test stations, simulators, or related electronic systems.\nAbility to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical, reliable solutions.\nExperience supporting cross-functional teams and communicating technical information clearly to engineers and technicians.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize multiple support requests, and follow issues through to resolution.\nStrong documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.\nExperience with legacy equipment modernization, hardware retrofits, or operating system migrations.\nExperience supporting vibration testing, simulators, production test systems, or automated test equipment.\nKnowledge of calibration tracking and equipment-control processes.\nESD certification or related training; completion of an iNARTE ESD Monitor course is preferred.\nExperience working with defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated production environments.\nSkills and Competencies\nElectrical and electronic test equipment troubleshooting\nLegacy system repair and modernization\nProduction and developmental test support\nHardware and software integration\nRoot-cause analysis and corrective action\nCross-functional collaboration\nTechnical communication and documentation\nContinuous improvement and creative problem-solving\nWork Environment\nThe Test Engineer II works closely with production, customer service, software, and engineering personnel to maintain test readiness and minimize interruptions to critical operations.
