Works alongside Responsible Engineer (RE) to define, generate and review project requirements documentation and to analyze and refine project requirements. Directs project engineering effort to ensure work scope, schedule and budget are on-track, addressing challenges as they arise. Assists program manager in the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. Direct oversight of engineering and related support budget, working hand-in-hand with program management to achieve earned value results. Responsible for supporting program management in the conduct of performance/project reviews during life cycle of development through production transfer.\n Major Duties & Responsibilities\nLeads the shaping, planning, and execution of all planned work against the NRE budget and deliverables for any given development or RDE (research and development) project\nWorks closely with program management to adhere to schedule and budget for the engineering effort(s) on given development and RDE projects. \nPrimary responsibility for execution of engineering development and design, prototype build, test, and related work to include working with functional leads to ensure proper resource allocation.\nDevelops estimates to complete and executes in accordance with planned effort, to include earned value management and risk management/mitigation as required.\nAids in development of a set of project planning documents, including Integrated Master Schedules, Integration and Test Plans, Resource Plans, Risk and Opportunities Matrix, Capital Equipment Plans, and associated documents.\nSupports program manager in maintenance of project schedule, provides inputs to develop and report project Estimation at Complete (EAC), report adherence to cost and schedule baselines for project. Provides input for the preparation of baseline change requests, variance reports, and manage resource requests.\nIn conjunction with the program manager, develops, builds and manages the integrated multi-function program team and represents both the interests of the customer and the business from a technical standpoint. Serves as the primary lead for the IPT on a daily basis.\nManage an RF subsystem development effort with responsibility for all relevant technical disciplines including RF design, mechanical design, manufacturing, integration and test, and subsystem engineering.\nInterface with Executive Staff and Program Management leadership on all aspects of Design execution. \nProvide technical direction for team, lead trade studies, lead development of design reviews, and anomaly resolution teams. Work with program management and other Project Engineers to meet all project deliveries and to ensure delivered systems meet all customer requirements.\nAlongside Responsible Engineer (RE), performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications\nProvide consistent and regular metrics to validate and support customer SDRLs\nPrimary technical interface with the customer\nEnsures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints\nSupports bid process, ensuring inclusion in bid of tasks to mitigate risk like breadboarding components, or peer reviews with HONA chief engineer\n The annual base salary range for this position is $156,000-$195,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
