Diverse technical and project management skills are needed to create, modernize, and implement tools, methods, and infrastructure.\nLocation\nThe selected candidate will be based at our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico site and will collaborate with a global workforce, gaining exposure to diverse perspectives, international projects, and cross-functional teams.\n Key ResponsibilitiesLead development and modernization initiatives of Performance and Operability tool including FAST and/or NPSS\nWork closely with internal customers and global teams to support engine development programs for performance and operability design and analysis objectives\nLead program, budget planning and advocacy and interface with Capital team\nDrive the development and implementation of strategies in support of the System Modeling vision and objectives\nResponsible for working with cross-functional technical teams, associated Enterprise project engineers, Product chiefs and global resources \nConceive and lead continuous process improvement projects \nChampion group efforts to supply world class customer satisfaction to Enterprise customers through formulating strategic plans, developing advanced innovative processes, program support, and technical leadership. \nIncorporate Agile principles in tool development and enhancements\n US PERSONS REQUIREMENTDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.\nYOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace or similar engineering discipline from an accredited institution\n+6 years of experience in gas turbine engine Performance & Operability Modeling and Analysis or similar roles and responsibilities\nDemonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)\nWE VALUEDemonstrated expertise in FAST and/or NPSS, MATLAB and Simulink\nDemonstrated ability in thermodynamic cycle, transient and control modeling related to gas turbine engines \nDemonstrated ability of tools and processes development and software validation for Performance and Operability specific tools\nDemonstrated ability to lead and manage development initiatives across a diverse and global cross-functional team \nExperience in software programming languages (such as Fortran, C++, PERL, Python, VBA, etc), Linux and Window operating systems\nKnowledge of software configuration management and change management practices\nFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody, MagicDraw) for system design and requirement management.\nEffective communication skills\nBENEFITS\nBeyond a performance-driven salary, you'll work alongside dedicated experts on technology that's advancing aviation.
