You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.\nYou will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a Hybrid work schedule.\nIn this role, you will impact the successful delivery of innovative system solutions that drive Honeywell’s competitive advantage and satisfy customer needs in a dynamic market environment.\n KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop and refine ECS performance models and simulations for complex air and vapor cycle systems, including validation and verification of system level steady state requirements \nConduct thermodynamic, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics analyses to optimize system performance.\nDefinition of system and equipment level key performance and generation/ validation of associated requirements.\nCreation and maintenance of system level steady state models including run time performance optimization, model validation against component and system test data, and generation of model documentation.\nSystem Modeling/Development process coordination and handoffs between internal and external stakeholders, communication with chief engineering and technical management.\nSystem Integration Test Support including facility architecture and requirements, test model definition, characterization test plans/procedures, test execution support and data processing/review and model calibration.\n YOU MUST HAVE\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics \n5+ years of experience in mechanical, chemical, or related engineering fields, with emphasis on thermal management system modeling and analysis\nStrong knowledge of system design principles, integration, and testing methodologies\nProficiency with systems modeling tools and software such as NPSS, SysML, MATLAB, or similar platforms for mechanical thermal analysis and design\nWE VALUE\nAdvanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical fields\nExperience in physics-based AI/ML model development\nExperience in advanced thermal management, advanced vapor cycle systems design and development\nExperience in mechanical engineering thermal simulations, system modeling and analysis, and system integration test\nFamiliarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements\nAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities\nDue to compliance with U.S export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S Person, which is defined as, a U.S. Citizen, a U.S Permanent resident or have protected status in the U.S under asylum or refugee status.\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $157,000.00 - $197,000.00.
