Join a collaborative culture and let’s shape the future of technology together!\nYou will report directly to our Director of Engineering, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.\nHybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.\nIn this role, you will lead the strategic vision and roadmap while driving performance, reliability, and quality across our software products to support scalable business growth.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n AI-Driven Product InnovationIdentify and deliver AI/ML opportunities (predictive maintenance, diagnostics, network optimization, forecasting, LLM-based assistance).\nLead the engineering team to build scalable AI/ML systems for industrial environments.\nDevelop and protect IP for AI models, control algorithms, and network optimization.\n\nArchitecture Governance & Technical AlignmentParticipate in Architecture Council meetings to align product and architecture decisions.\nProvide input on reference architecture and technology choices.\nEnsure AI features meet cybersecurity, scalability, and architectural standards.\n\nCross-Functional LeadershipCollaborate across engineering, data science, architecture, commercial, and field teams.\nCommunicate product decisions and priorities across LSS/PA leadership team and other Honeywell groups.\nDrive innovative, high-quality, cost-effective technical solutions.\n\nLifecycle Management & Installed Base ModernizationLead modernization and drive the Control Transformer and Network/FTE products roadmap.\nImprove reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize network performance.\nEnsure long-term maintainability, cybersecurity, and scalability.\n\nLeadership & Team DevelopmentMentor teams and foster a culture of ownership and innovation.\nSupport talent development and team engagement.\nChampion diversity, inclusion, and high performance.\n\n YOU MUST HAVE\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.\n6+ years of production AI/ML experience designing, deploying, and operating production-grade systems with ownership of model lifecycle, reliability, and performance in real-world environments.\n6+ years Mastery of ML, deep learning, LLMs, generative AI, and RAG with the ability to evaluate, select, and operationalize state-of-the-art techniques for industrial use cases.\n6+ years Strong Python proficiency with hands-on experience building distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and scalable data/ML pipelines.\n6+ years Cloud-native deployment experience using Azure or AWS, including Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD workflows tailored for ML/LLM systems.\nAbility to influence architecture decisions, define reference patterns, and ensure AI systems meet standards for scalability, cybersecurity, and long-term maintainability.\n6+ years Cross-functional leadership experience collaborating with engineering, data science, product, and field teams to translate business needs into actionable AI/ML solutions.\nWE VALUE\nMaster’s degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, demonstrating strong foundational depth in intelligent systems.\nExperience with industrial automation, control systems, or OT networking.\nKnowledge of Honeywell Control Transformers, Network/FTE architectures, or similar industrial product lines.\nHands-on work with multi-agent systems, autonomous agents, or edge AI, including orchestrating distributed intelligence across constrained or mission-critical environments.\nExperience with AI safety, governance, and explainability, ensuring models meet enterprise standards for transparency, robustness, and responsible deployment.\nPublications, patents, or open-source contributions in AI/ML that demonstrate thought leadership, innovation, and engagement with the broader technical community.\nU.S. PERSON REQIUREMENT\nDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.\nBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL\nIn addition to a competitive salary, leading-edge work, and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
