For additional information, visit www.sundyne.com.\nThe Mechanical Engineer will design and test all aspects of mechanical equipment and pump machinery. Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of testing equipment.\nJob Duties & Responsibilities \nReview customer pump orders and technical specifications, setup test sheets and work with operator to achieve desired test results for customers. \nPerform pump design calculation.\nCreate assembly and manufacturing drawings in AutoCAD and Siemens NX 3D modeling software.\nCreate diaphragm pump bills of material specific to each order using configuration tools.\nDisposition of non-conforming parts, determine root causes and implement corrective actions on the shop floor and troubleshoot test and assembly issues.\nAssist with the creation of quality plans and other related technical documentation and adhere to project schedules.\nMake improvements to existing designs for Design for Manufacturing and quality improvements\nBe a member of the team for new product development projects and contribute to the design and development activities \nActively engage in cost savings projects and continuous improvement projects\nBe able to lead projects from start to finish including budgeting, spending and planning and scheduling activities to execute projects\nDevelops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.\nAssures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.\nPrepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.\nProvides engineering information by answering questions and requests.\nMaintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.\nKeeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; and requesting special services.\nMaintains system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data.\nCompletes projects by training and guiding technicians.\nMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nOccasionally travel to Customer sites or suppliers on an as needed basis.
