Help to build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying, and developing successors,\ndriving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign and develop mechanical components and assemblies for building automation products\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and ensure design feasibility\nValidate prototypes by defining and/or implementing test plans that include environmental testing, cycle testing, and durability testing.\nImprove test capabilities through automation, sensors, and software/firmware\nSupport sustaining engineering activities including design changes, quality improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.\n YOU MUST HAVE\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics\n3+ years of experience in mechanical design and development\n3+ years of proficiency in CAD software such as CREO (preferred), AutoCAD, or SolidWorks and experience with mechanical analysis/simulation tools\n1+ years working closely with cross functional teams such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Electrical Engineering.\nWE VALUE\nExperience in building automation or related industries\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams\nKnowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design\nExperience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools such as Teamcenter.\nOvercoming difficult technical roadblocks through creativity and tenacity\nExperience with materials selection, manufacturing processes, and product testing\nFlexibility around travel to supplier, customer, and manufacturing sites\nExperience in creating detailed engineering drawings and GD&T documentation\nExcellent communication skills in conversation, presentations, and email\nBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL\nIn addition to a competitive salary, leading-edge work, and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
