The role is accountable for programme governance, client management, commercial performance, schedule adherence, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and leadership of multidisciplinary project teams. The Project Director will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while meeting operational and regulatory requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Leadership\nProvide executive leadership across multiple data centre projects or programmes. \nDevelop and implement project delivery strategies aligned with business objectives. \nEstablish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and performance metrics. \nDrive continuous improvement and best practices in project delivery. \nProject Delivery\nLead the end-to-end delivery of hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centre projects. \nOversee project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and resource management. \nEnsure successful coordination between design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams. \nManage critical project milestones and resolve complex delivery challenges. \nClient & Stakeholder Management\nAct as the primary senior point of contact for clients and executive stakeholders. \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities. \nLead executive steering committees and project status reviews. \nManage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress effectively. \nCommercial Management\nMonitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, contingencies, and cash flow. \nLead contract negotiations and commercial discussions with suppliers and contractors. \nIdentify and mitigate commercial risks. \nEnsure compliance with contractual obligations and governance requirements. \nRisk, Safety & Compliance\nChampion a culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence. \nEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies. \nLead risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution. \nPlan quality assurance and commissioning activities for mission-critical systems. \nTeam Leadership\nLead and mentor project managers, technician leads, engineers, and support functions. \nDevelop high-performing teams through coaching and performance management. \nDrive collaboration across internal and external stakeholders. \nSupport workforce planning and talent development initiatives. \nTechnical Responsibilities\nOversee delivery of critical infrastructure systems including: \nHVAC and cooling infrastructure \nBMS and EPMS systems \nEnsure successful integrated systems testing (IST) and commissioning. \nSupport operational readiness and transition to facility operations teams. \nMust have\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline. \nProfessional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent. \n10+ years of project delivery experience within construction, engineering, or mission-critical environments. \nSignificant experience delivering large-scale data centre projects, typically exceeding $10 - $100 million in value. \nProven experience managing complex multidisciplinary teams. \nDemonstrated success in delivering projects for hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise clients. \nStrong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement strategies. \nWe Value:\nData centre design principles \nIndustry standards and regulations \nStakeholder management \nClient relationship management \nWho We Are\nThe Future Is What We Make It at Honeywell.
