The AR Accountant works closely with various departments, including finance, sales, and customer service, to support the organization’s financial goals.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCredit Management:\nMonitoring customers’ accounts for potential credit risks and taking preventive action.\nCollections Oversight:\nAudit Customers remittances at an invoice level.\nIdentify source of nonpayment and short/over payment of invoices.\nAssist Sales regarding pricing resolution of pricing variances.\nCommunicate with Sales/AR management.\nImplement strategies to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.\nIdentify source of nonpayment and short/over payment of invoices.\nCommunicate with Sales/AR management.\nManage specific accounts receivable aging and prioritize collections efforts for overdue accounts.\nAssist payment plans or settlements with customers, as necessary.\nCustomer Relations:\nServe as the primary point of contact for escalated credit or collections issues.\nMaintain strong relationships with customers and sales while enforcing payment terms.\nCollaborate with the cash application/credit and collection team to address account discrepancies.\nAddress disputes and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.\nReporting and Analysis:\nGenerate and analyze reports on accounts receivable performance, collections efficiency, and credit risk exposure.\nProvide regular updates to senior management on cash flow and key metrics.\nIdentify trends and make recommendations to improve credit and collections processes.\nCompliance and Audit:\nEnsure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.\nSupport internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reconciliations.\nImplement and monitor internal controls to mitigate risks.\n- Qualifications and Skills:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration\nExperience:\n3+ years of experience in credit and collections or accounts receivable.\nTechnical Skills:\nProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., VIP) and cash application software.\nAdvanced knowledge of Excel and data-based exposure financial reporting tools.\nSoft Skills:\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills.\nAnalytical mindset with attention to detail.\nAbility to manage high-pressure situations and meet deadlines.\nProblem-solving and decision-making capabilities.\nWe offer a competitive salary of $60k-$72k.
