This role combines clinical knowledge, critical thinking, communication, and compassion to ensure potential donor referrals are evaluated accurately and advanced efficiently.\nIf you're an EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or healthcare professional looking to apply your clinical knowledge in a meaningful way while making a direct impact on lives saved through donation, this may be the opportunity for you.\nThe Opportunity\nThe Donor Services Center Coordinator plays a critical role in identifying and evaluating potential organ, tissue, and eye donation opportunities.\nAs part of HonorBridge's 24/7 donation operations, you will receive referral calls, review medical information, conduct preliminary donor screening, communicate with healthcare professionals, and document case activity. Your work helps ensure every referral receives timely and appropriate evaluation while supporting healthcare partners, donor families, and HonorBridge's mission.\nThis position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing multiple priorities, and can apply clinical knowledge while remaining organized, detail-oriented, and service-focused.\nSchedule and Location\nOnsite position located in Winston-Salem, NC\nThree 12-hour shifts per week\nNight shift schedule (8:00 PM - 8:00 AM)\nRotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed\nWhat You'll Do\nIn this role, you will:\nReceive and triage organ, tissue, and eye donation referrals from hospitals and healthcare partners.\nConduct preliminary donor screening by gathering and evaluating clinical information.\nApply knowledge of disease processes, medical terminology, and donor suitability criteria to assess donation opportunities.\nReview electronic medical records and other clinical documentation to obtain information necessary for referral evaluation.\nIdentify opportunities that may be appropriate for organ, tissue, and eye donation.\nCommunicate professionally and effectively with healthcare providers, medical examiners, coroners, investigators, funeral homes, and other external partners.\nObtain medicolegal releases as appropriate to support the donation process.\nNotify HonorBridge clinical teams of potential and authorized donors in a timely manner.\nManage multiple active referrals while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail.\nComplete all case documentation accurately and in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.\nUtilize donor management systems and multiple technology platforms simultaneously to support workflow and communication.\nMaintain access to and utilize electronic medical record systems across partner hospitals.\nEnsure confidentiality of donor, recipient, patient, and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and HonorBridge policies.\nSupport quality assurance initiatives through accurate documentation, record maintenance, and process compliance.\nMaintain an organized, professional, and efficient work environment.\nParticipate in ongoing training, education, and professional development activities.\nPerform other duties as assigned in support of HonorBridge's mission.\nWhat You'll Bring\nWe're looking for someone who combines clinical knowledge, strong communication skills, and sound judgment with a genuine passion for helping others.\nMinimum Qualifications\nAssociate degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nTwo to three years of experience in a clinical environment such as EMT, Paramedic, LPN, patient care, emergency services, or a similar healthcare role.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nDemonstrated understanding of disease processes and clinical information.\nKnowledge of medical terminology.\nAbility to analyze and interpret medical and operational data.\nStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.\nExperience working with databases, electronic documentation systems, and Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to learn and navigate multiple software applications and technology platforms.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.\nCommitment to the mission of organ and tissue donation.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working in a healthcare call center or high-volume communication environment.\nExperience reviewing medical records and conducting clinical screenings.\nFamiliarity with hospital electronic medical record systems.\nPrior experience in organ donation, transplantation, emergency medicine, critical care, or related healthcare settings.\nWhy HonorBridge?\nEvery donation opportunity begins with a connection.\nAs a Donor Services Center Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in helping identify and advance donation opportunities that can save and heal lives.
