They perform a wide variety of housekeeping and support functions for the patient care unit; stocks linens and supplies; clean bathrooms, waiting areas, and common area space; and transport trash and linen from collection points to designated areas. The staff member must demonstrate highest level of professionalism while maintaining a compassionate and pleasant manner to assure patient dignity, safety and satisfaction.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nMaintains cleanliness of patient care areas following established procedures, sanitation protocols and achieves satisfaction and quality standards for room and common area cleaning.\nExecutes checkout room cleaning per department guidelines. Disposes of hazardous and infectious waste in compliance with protocols.\nPerforms morning and evening patient room rounds, inspects room, removes clutter, empties trash, refreshes bathroom. Responds to patient service requests for housekeeping services and hospitality support.\nCleans common area space and waiting areas on the patient care unit. Stocks linen and housekeeping supplies.\nCleans and sanitizes equipment as assigned. Stages equipment for pickup. Alerts Nursing personnel when intervention or clinical monitoring is required.\nMixing of chemicals will be done according to directions, resulting in optimum cleaning. Performance without damaging surfaces as demonstrated by inspection. Understands proper dilution rates of all chemicals used and reports all malfunctions to the dilution systems.\nOperation of, preventative maintenance, cleanliness and repair of any equipment used by the department. Department cleaning, equipment and housekeeping carts will be maintained in good working order as demonstrated through inspection\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION\nOther / Certificate Less than High School Required\nHigh School Diploma or GED Preferred\n EXPERIENCE\n6 months experience Preferred\n LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS\nDrivers License (DL) - License For those environmental services tech positions that will be required to drive HonorHealth vehicles, incumbent must have a clean driving record as defined by HonorHealth Network Driver Qualification Policy Q-359 (available upon request) and meet the following: Must: Be at least 21 years of age and Provide a current and valid Arizona driver's license and Have a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the Department of Motor Vehicles obtained and reviewed by Human Resources and Successfully complete the next available, quarterly conducted, in-house training HonorHealth Defensive Driving Course and provide a certificate of completion.
