Ensuring work in progress (WIP) is undamaged, and the staging area is maintained organized. As well as consistently bringing correct size, board grade stacks to machine centers to be ran.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nOperation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.\nComplete and document a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift and turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.\nLocate stock before the start of the run.\nDeliver appropriate stock to appropriate machines safely and on time.\nRemove finished goods from machines.\nMaintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas.\nComplete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.\nMaintain accurate location of stock in storage area by paperwork and computer.\nMaximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.\nAdhere to daily production schedule. \nAssist other forklift operators as necessary and is backup to Shipping Lead Person.\nComplete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.\nComply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.\nAdditional duties may be assigned by management.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or GED. Preferred\nCandidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:\nPrior work experience in the corrugated industry.\nPrior work experience as a forklift operator.\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS \nA current Lift Truck/Clamp Truck Operator License is required.\n** Possibility of receiving an inhouse certification after successfully passing Lift Operator Exam**\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS \nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to sit for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT \nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to hot and/or humid as well as cold conditions.
