This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to identify potential issues before they escalate, implementing preventive maintenance strategies. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and adhering to safety and quality standards. Ultimately, the Multi-CraftMaintenance Technician contributes to the overall operational excellence and reliability of manufacturing processes.\nThis is a 1st shift position with starting wage of $30.00 per hour, with adjustments based on individual skills. This is a 12 hour shift, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm working a 2:2:3 rotation (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days) . Occasional overtime will be required.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n4+ years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience in a production or manufacturing setting (corrugated/packaging experience is a plus).\nSafety driven\nStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics.\nAbility to safely work with 24V DC to 600VDC, and 120VAC to 480VAC.\nAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools with proficiency. \nStrong knowledge of basic maintenance tasks (lubrication, inspection, troubleshooting, repairs, etc.).\nPhysically able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and overhead work.\nWork in environments with moving machinery, extreme temperatures (-20°F to 125°F), and at heights up to 38 feet.\nBasic computer skills for entering work orders and documenting maintenance activities.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n8+ years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience in a production or manufacturing setting.\nAssociate degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.\nExperience installing, replacing troubleshooting, and commissioning VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, and other programmable devices. \nCertification in industrial electrical systems, PLC programming, or hydraulics.\nExperience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\nFamiliarity with safety standards such as OSHA and NFPA 70E.\nStrong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.\nKnowledge of GMP and customer focused quality policies.\nExperience with motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, conveyors, pumps, valves, and sensors.\nExperience with preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance, and root cause analysis.\nKnowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety practices.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques.\nRepair or replace defective components, including but not limited to VFDs, motors, pumps, conveyors, and control systems.\nCollaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.\nMaintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.\nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and promote a safe working environment.\nAssist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment as needed.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.\nTroubleshoot electrical panels, motor controls, relays, contactors, overloads, and field devices.\nSupport PLC-controlled equipment troubleshooting and assist with automation-related issues as needed.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with plant and safety standards.\nOur goal is to be a diverse workforce that is representative, at all job levels, of the citizens and customers we serve.
