Join our team and unbox your potential!\nImmediate Opening on2nd Shift (3:00 pm - 11:00 PM) Monday - Friday - Must be able to work overtime if needed.\nMajor Areas of Responsibilities\nManufacture Corrugated Cartons\nResponsible for the machine crews’ daily activities, accountable for machine and crew performance as they relate to waste, efficiency and quality and uptime objectives.\nPrimary Objectives\nSet up, adjust and run kraft paper and ancillary equipment for production of corrugated sheets.\nPerform preventive maintenance to ensure its optimum operation.\nTroubleshoot issues and submit requests for maintenance repairs as needed.\nSpecific Responsibilities of the Job\nInterpret job order information, specs and requirements.\nEnsures all machine set-ups are done correctly.\nMaintain accurate records of production, waste, production time, preventive maintenance etc.\nPerforms duties as requested by supervisor and plant manager.\nEnsure that production goals are met or exceeded.\nAdhere to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.\nMonitor Quality\nPerforms various other job duties and projects as assigned.\nIt is the responsibility of all Ideal employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.\nFollow Operator Checklist\nRequired Knowledge Skills and Abilities\nProven track record of improving machine efficiencies in a production environment.\nExperience in corrugated packaging environments, preferred\nProven process control background\nHigh level computer literacy skills necessary\nDemonstrated analytical experience\nExperience with equipment operation and safety guidelines\nMust be team-oriented, organized, detailed, and able to perform some physical activities.\nDemonstrated leadership experience\nWhite or Green Belt Six Sigma certification preferred\nMust be able to foster team work\nJob Conditions & Physical Requirements\nMust be able to work in temperature extremes from 40 degrees to 120 degrees inside facility for several hours continuously.\nMust be able to lift 50 lbs.\nMust be able to push and pull 50 lbs.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nPrevious machine operator experience preferred.\nHere's why you'll love working at Hood Container:\nCompetitive pay & benefits: We offer a base salary based on experience, a quarterly bonus program, and a comprehensive benefits package to keep you healthy and happy.\nContinuous learning: We invest in paid training and development to help you grow your skills and advance your career.\nCaring & Empowering Company Culture: Supportive & collaborative team dedicated to seeing you unbox your potential to help make a difference & make customers happy. \nGrowing Company in a Sustainable Industry: Consider a Future in Corrugated Packaging\nOur goal is to be a diverse workforce that is representative, at all job levels, of the citizens and customers we serve.
