This role is responsible for maintenance operations using precision and preventative maintenance to maximize plant and production equipment uptime, responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems; both mechanical and electrical.\nStrong organizational, teamwork, and self-starter skills will lead you to success in this role.\nHow You Will Contribute:\nPerform scheduled PMs and repairs on a variety of machines from multiple manufacturers; proactively learn and understand the operation and maintenance requirements of each.\nDesign, fabricate, and weld components as needed for equipment repair or improvement.\nInstall or relocate electrical and air lines, guarding, safety barriers, posts, signs, and related facility infrastructure.\nParticipate in new equipment installations, facility upgrades, and improvement projects; collaborate with outside vendors for PMs, repairs, and specialized installations.\nSupport production by ensuring equipment is maintained to prevent defects and meet quality standards. Conduct quality checks and take steps to prevent defects.\nConsistently promote and practice safe work habits, using proper PPE and safety procedures.\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members about maintenance issues and solutions.\nAccurately document work and identify areas for equipment/process improvements.\nTrack, order, and maintain inventory of production consumables such as strapping, stretch film, shrink wrap, hand tape, machine tape, printer ink, and baler wire.\nMaintain relationships with local vendors; occasionally make local trips to source parts or supplies urgently needed for operations.\nWorking Conditions:\nRegular exposure to moving mechanical parts.\nWhat It Takes:\nEducation and Experience: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in a production environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nLanguage Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.\nMathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic math, including using tape measures and other measuring devices.\nTechnical Skills:Basic computer knowledge.\nAbility to read electrical meters and schematics.\nKnowledge of power tools and basic carpentry, plumbing, welding, HVAC, and electrical skills.\nStrong troubleshooting skills.\n\nPhysical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and extended overhead work.\nFlexibility: Ability to work overtime as needed.\nReady to make an impact on critical corrugator operations?
