Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for plant operations while driving process improvement initiatives associated with production scheduling and shipping.\nDirect Reports: Customer Service Manager; Shipping Manager; Planner/Scheduler\nPosition Responsibilities (including but are not limited to);\nDemonstrate a commitment to Safety and perform job duties in accordance with company Safety policies and procedures.\nWorks in concert with the Plant manager to ensure an appropriate balance is maintained between customer and plant production needs.\nDevelop strong client and vendor relationships were necessary in support of CSR's and the Sales team.\nActively participates in daily production meetings to maximize resource use, including production scheduling, shipping, and inventory processes.\nMonitors production & customer performance metrics to ensure targets for output, efficiency, and on-time delivery are met or exceeded.\nDevelop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.\nDrive and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.\nAssist with all safety protocols, GMP, and Quality training initiatives.\nCollaborate with CSRs and shipping teams to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely delivery.\nAttends weekly leadership meetings; has a working understanding of P&L and how actions impact results.\nCoach and develop direct reports and identify high-potential employees for levels of greater responsibility and scope.\nEnsure performance feedback and appraisals are completed effectively and on time, rewarding and recognizing excellent performance while maintaining accountability.\nQualifications:\n4-year degree, Business Administration or Engineering preferred\n5+ years of experience including leadership/supervisory experience is necessary preferably in a management position with experience in Production, Customer Service, Scheduling, and/or Shipping\nYou should be high energy and capable of wearing multiple hats\nPosition will require a high degree of independence, critical thinking, decision making, and strength in managing a diverse group of people\nExperience with 5S and Lean Methodology is a plus\nDemonstrated management skills with people, processes, and time, along with the ability to manage multiple projects/assignments\nAdvanced proficiency with computer software is essential, preferable in AmTech\nMust be process and results-driven with strong communication skills with both internal and external customers, verbal and written.\nWhy You’ll Love Working at Hood Container:\nCompetitive Pay & Benefits- www.hoodcontainer.com/benefits.\nCareer Growth: Ongoing training and development opportunities to help you advance.\nSupportive Culture: Be part of a collaborative team that values trust, honesty, and excellence.\n Industry Impact: Build a future in the growing and sustainable corrugated packaging industry.\nOur goal is to be a diverse workforce that is representative, at all job levels, of the citizens and customers we serve.
