Our portfolio of national and super-regional brands and licensed products includes Hood, Heluva Good, Lactaid, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze, Planet Oat and more.\nJob Summary:\nEHS professional position that provides technical and professional support services to operations staff with guidance and direction from the local Plant Manager and the assigned EHS rep. Designs and delivers training, performs job hazard analysis and performs workplace safety inspections with guidance from the assigned EHS rep. This is an on the floor (high visibility / floor presence) position. \nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nMaintains facility training calendar and ensures training records are maintained per OSHA requirements. Facilitates applicable internal facility safety training using appropriate training materials (hands-on, PowerPoints, props, etc) as scheduled.\nImplements written EHS programs and company safety policies aligned with Federal & State requirements (ie, OSHA, EPA or the respective State agencies). Administer the local hearing conservation program per OSHA regulatory requirements. Maintains and administers the facility written contractor safety manual. Obtain/maintain an up to date knowledge of EHS standards and Workers’ Comp requirements.\nWorks directly with plant leadership to ensure facility monthly safety inspections are being completed. Makes recommendations to remedy noted deficiencies.\nProvides internal support for workers’ compensation cases. Acts as facility safety contact for work comp claims questions, interfaces with insurance adjusters, medical professionals and injured workers.\nProvides hands-on guidance to facility managers & supervisors regarding incident reporting/investigation program to ensure company standards and process are met.\nPromotes a positive safety culture by developing and creating documents in Microsoft word, excel, power point to support positive employee communications & data delivery such as posters, mailings, and news regarding safety.\nTeam with line managers to lead plant wide safety initiatives.\nServe as co-chair for plant safety committee meetings.\nFacilitate new hire safety on-boarding for both plant and distribution employees.\nAssist Distribution Department with driver safety ride-a-longs and motor vehicle incident investigations.\nEducation and Experience:\nRequires a minimum of a BA/BS degree in occupational safety, science, engineering or related discipline plus 0-2 years of related experience.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office required (ppt, Word, xls).\nKnowledge of EPA and DOT standards preferred but not required.\nExperience in a manufacturing setting preferred, food & beverage is a plus.\nSkills and Competencies:\nSpeaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations\nIdentifies hazards and resolves workplace safety problems in a timely manner.\nSeeks feedback to improve performance and exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills\nInspires and motivates others to work safely, shows strong enthusiasm for workplace safety.\nLI-Onsite #LI-LG1\nExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.\nThe pay range for this position is\n$80,000—$90,000 USD\nReady to join us?
