This includes ensuring that safety, quality, production, maintenance, sanitation, and personnel requirements are properly met at all times. This role will be “on-the-floor” providing ongoing support of the daily departmental operations and may be on or off-line as needed or determined by the Manager.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nCoordinate daily production and cleaning activities and schedules to meet business objectives.\nEnsure that production efficiencies are maximized and waste is minimized.\nEnsure positive employee relations and maximize labor efficiency.\nProperly address and handle operational, maintenance, and employee issues in a timely manner.\nStrive to meet identified goals.\nProvide all aspects of leadership for department employees. Personnel responsibilities include, but not limited to: shift scheduling, team building, maintaining high level of motivation & morale, training, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, attendance monitoring and disciplinary action where appropriate.\nProperly and effectively communicate to employees, peers, and management.\nEstablish clear responsibilities and expectations for each position and ensure that each employee meets these standards.\nEnforce and ensure compliance with all rules, policies, programs, and procedures, including but not limited to GMP’s, SQF, Safety, Quality, Regulatory (State and Federal), Company, and Plant.\nConduct Incident Investigations for accidents, damage, mishaps, etc. in a timely manner and appropriately follow up with any identified corrective action.\nWork jointly with production control, customer service and Warehousing to ensure order fulfillment requirements are met accurately and on time.\nMaintain solid customer satisfaction levels relating to quality and accuracy while ensuring the highest level of operational efficiencies.\nOperational responsibilities to include, but not limited to: inventory management, shift start meetings, create & implement training processes, housekeeping, research/resolve filling errors and implement corrective actions.\nEquipment/Machinery: Ensure equipment is properly maintained and fully operational, work jointly with the maintenance organization on all equipment/machinery issues.\nEnsure that the highest level of housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitation is maintained at all times.\nAdminister coaching and corrective action as necessary.\nAssume increased responsibilities as production requirements dictate.\nAdjust work shifts dependent upon production and staffing needs.\nAssume production manager responsibilities as needed in their absence.\nAdditional Duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred at some facilities.\nAt least 5 years’ experience in Dairy Manufacturing environment. May require 3 years at a supervisory level in a production environment depending upon facility.\nExperience working with HTST pasteurization (site-dependent).\nExperienced in inventory management systems (site-dependent).\nSkills and Competencies:\nGood computer knowledge is essential. (RSView, Excel, Word)\nAbility to work well with people.\nGood math skills working with fractions, percents and decimals.\nSelf-motivated and the ability to positively coach and motivate others.\nStrong written & verbal communication skills, comfortable in speaking before groups.\nExcellent organization skills.\nSafety Responsibilities:\nWork in a safe and responsible manner at all times, following all safety policies, procedures, and rules.\nReport unsafe observations or conditions.\nImmediately report an injury or accident to a manager.\nMeet all company requirements for training, including but not limited to Log Out/Tag Out, HazMat Technician, PPE, PIT, Ergonomics, etc.\nSQF Requirements/Responsibilities:\nSupport SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner following prescribed procedures.\nAt some facilities, maintaining the master list of documents.\nAt some facilities, maintain the Food Defense and Emergency Preparedness program.\nReport food safety problems to a manager.\nPosition is backed up by other Production Supervisors, Working Supervisors and/or Production Manager.\nWorking Conditions:\nFactory environment\nVarying noise and heat levels.\nResponsibilities allow occasional opportunity for varying work routine.\nPhysical Requirements:\nStand: Long periods (minimum of 6 hours)\nSitting: Occasionally for short periods.\nWalking: Frequently.\nBending: Occasionally.\nTwisting of Spine: Occasionally.\nLifting: Light (< 30 lbs) infrequently.\nCarrying: Light (30-50 lbs) infrequently, distance 100 ft.\nPushing/Pulling: < 75 lbs without assistance infrequently.\nSpecial Requirements:\nAble to work Holidays.\nChampion positive and safe work environment\nExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.\nThe pay range for this position is\n$76,000—$85,000 USD\nReady to join us?
