This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled building services engineer looking for a varied role covering planned and reactive maintenance within a professional and supportive environment.\nWorking across a diverse range of commercial properties within Herefordshire - including, offices, museums, libraries and shopping centre you will maintain and fault find heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, chilled water systems, fan coil units and associated mechanical plant, helping to keep facilities safe, comfortable, compliant and operational.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCarry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC and associated mechanical building services.\nDiagnose and repair faults on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, fans, controls and associated plant.\nComplete inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance in line with schedules and manufacturers’ guidance.\nEnsure work complies with health & safety requirements, relevant legislation and industry standards.\nRespond promptly to HVAC/mechanical plant breakdowns and emergency call-outs.\nThis role offers variety and challenge, ensuring no two days are the same.\nEssential Requirements:\nF-Gas Category 1 certification where refrigerant handling forms part of the role\nRelevant Level 2 qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent\nExperience in HVAC/mechanical building-services maintenance (public sector or facilities-management experience desirable)\nGood knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, fault finding and safe working practices\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nFull UK driving licence\nProfessional, approachable manner with strong customer-facing skills\nDesirable Qualifications:\nGas Safe registration or relevant gas qualifications where gas-fired plant is maintained; additional electrical or controls experience is also advantageous\nWhy Join Hoople Group?\nRegular working hours: 8am - 4pm\nLocal work within Herefordshire (no long-distance travel)\nCompany vehicle and fuel card \n26 days’ annual leave + Bank Holidays (rising to 31 after 5 years)\nAccess to exclusive employee benefits, including shopping and leisure discounts\nCompany pension scheme & death-in-service insurance\nLearning & development opportunities\nCycle to Work Scheme & holiday trading options\nWe welcome applicants whatever their personal characteristics or social identity.
