You understand the importance of a DevOps mindset and have experience partnering with product development stakeholders to design and deliver a reliable, scalable, secure, and performant platform. Based out of Canada, in Provinces we can legally hire in, you will report to the Senior Manager, Software Development, DevOps.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nEnable development teams to:\nProvide executable interfaces to our infrastructure platform\nProvide tools and best practices to support the entire software development lifecycle\nManage the reliability, security, and integrity of our large, cloud-based Linux infrastructure:\nDiagnose and repair distributed systems\nImplement runbooks, monitoring, and alerts\nBuild, maintain, and improve infrastructure with infrastructure-as-code\nLead/collaborate with team members and others across the organization to solve technical problems and build better systems and software\nPartner with direct team members as well as those cross-functionally within the department through mentoring, leading meetings and sharing work/best practices/ideas \nImplement continuous improvement efforts into the development of our team culture, processes and vision\nUse tools/methodologies like Agile to manage team projects and toils\nParticipate in a flexible on-call rotation \nWHAT YOU’LL NEED:\nA degree in Computer Science or Engineering, at least 5 years of experience in an SRE, DevOps or software engineering role, and a track record of substantial contributions to software projects with high business impact\nExperience using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform or Ansible) to build and run cloud infrastructure\nYou have a strong background in cloud infrastructure design and operations, and can work within a team that will architect, build and automate the cloud production infrastructure on which Hootsuite runs.\nYou are a leader and an influencer.
