This role plays a key part in supporting clients who the organization delivers services and products to. This role involves documentation, technical implementation, communication, scheduling, vendor coordination, project meetings, and maintenance of various integration systems. The work includes data collection, data validation, and data reporting related to existing and anticipated connections with clients, as well as active engagement in technical implementations and planning. Security and privacy are vital in the work performed, as it will commonly involve access to and reviews of electronic personal health information (ePHI) in the forms of HL7, CCDA, SQL, and other data formats. This position plays a key part in the overall integration operations of the organization both internally and for externally facing systems and partners.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nManage technical documentation for client interfaces, connections, data transforms, and other areas related to clients.\nCoordinate and schedule both internal and external meetings and follow-up as necessary.\nParticipate in kick-off and project integration calls for clients and external parties.\nProvide and serve as initial support for client connectivity or data issues.\nProfessional communication with clients, vendors, and business partners related to ongoing implementations and operational needs.\nData validation and testing as part of integration activities, upgrades, and other changes to the integration/interoperability infrastructure.\nGenerate reports and documentation for consumption by clients, vendors, and business partners as needed.\nAssist with employees and contractors on how to properly use all systems, including writing training materials and tools utilized in daily work.\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement or automation that improve the ability to deliver.\nFollow internal operational procedures and processes related to change control.\nResolve and troubleshoot system issues across multiple environments.\nParticipate in analysis and design of business process, training development, and deployment planning.\nInteract with staff across the organization to complete project activities and deliverables.\nDemonstrates the ability to support multiple integrations across multiple simultaneous projects, while staying within defined project timelines, and balancing multiple priorities/tasks.\nEnsures and enforces stability of data management and transfers through systems, for maintaining the integrity of the data residing on systems, facilitating and performing validations, and error resolution and decision making to complete or support business processing requirements.\nWorks with vendors and clients to ensure needed coordination is in place between application owners and Integration development and support teams.\nPartners with product development teams providing real-world feedback impacting architecture, features, and roadmap.\nDemonstrates the ability to proactively escalate concerns/issues to the appropriate parties.\nParticipates in on-call rotation providing after-hours support for production integrations/applications.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION\nBA/BS in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or other technical fields.\nEXPERIENCE\n3+ years clinical interface support, data management, database integrations, and data analysis\n2+ years HL7, web services, XML, X12, 837/839, APIs, FHIR, SOAP, JSON\n3+ years IT systems, networking, or infrastructure operations including troubleshooting connectivity issues.\nKNOWLEDGE\nUnderstanding and knowledge of HL7 interface engine technologies\nWorking knowledge of communication methods (e.g. web services, SFTP, SSH, HTTP, TCP, etc.)\nKnowledge of data normalization (LOINC, Snomed, CPT, ICD-9, etc).\nExperience with multiple database platforms (e.g. MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc…)\nHealthcare Industry knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology.\nHealth technologies - e.g. EHR, HIS, PMS, HL7, HIE, CDR, etc.\nFamiliarity with project management methodologies - e.g. waterfall, agile, etc.\nFamiliarity with cloud services for databases and integrations delivered in Azure and AWS.\nExperience working with multiple clients and complex cross-environment data integrations\nSKILLS & ABILITIES\nAbility to work independently and as part of larger project teams\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously\nEffective time management with both operational and project-based activities\nProfessional communication skills internally and with external clients, both written and verbal\nData and quality analysis from disparate data sources\nScripting - e.g. Java/JavaScript, SQL, PHP, Perl, Python, PowerShell\nAbility to translate business needs into technical solutions\nData mappings and transformations\nAdvanced SQL Queries\nAdvanced Excel Skills\nPowerBI and other visualization tools\nAbility to break down and resolve complicated technical challenges\nAbility to work with cross-disciplinary teams \nENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS\nNormal office environment\nMay require some travel.\nPHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS\nRequires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.\nManual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.\nORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS\nHopper Mission, Vision and Values must be acknowledged and adhered to\nThis description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements.
